Baldy Bowl Trailhead reviews
8So so breathtaking literally I was out of breath going up but it was so worth it, just beautiful and very refreshing with the constant breeze after we finished we wanted to ride the ski lift down but it was closed at around 6: 30 the hike down was easier and when we went back to a car we saw a beautiful bear
The trail is pretty safe, it is just quite long. The views are extraordinary and worth the effort to hike.
We start a 4: 00 am, to get in the morning to the mountain we did about 4 hours to get to the top, because we stop in the sky hose to rest and take pictures of beautiful nature it wasn’t easy
Trailhead to the Baldy/Mt. San Antonio summit. Great for day hike to summit. Take lots of water and pack light if you plan on a day hike.
The beginning few steps are the easiest part of the hike, and once the steep incline starts, boy it just never ends. I'm glad that it's a popular trail so you know you're not alone in your misery. Everyone else is fighting the good fight with you on the way up. Makes me wanna consider doing it again
This is an absolute must-do hike if you're in the area. I'd give the difficulty around medium due to the steep inclines, which average about 1,000 feet pretty mile if you're going straight up. It can be a bit dangerous in the winter, or if you go off the trail in the spring/summer, so be careful out there.
Came here mid March. We parked on the baldy road. There is still some snow leftover. Need microspike and pole if u wanna do this steep hike. And light jacket. Once sun starts going down. It will get chilly. We saw one big horn on the trail.
My favorite trail especially in the winter but if you're doing it in the winter crampons and ice axe is a good idea
