Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our beloved therapy dog. The staff and doctor were very caring and professional. They created a comfortable environment and explained everything. Thank you Banfield for being there for us during a difficult time.

Stay away, scammers, thief, they are scamming the Costa Mesa people making you sign on a credit card machine a contract that literally they DO NOT SHOW YOU, they DO NOT EXPLAIN YOU, and they catch you for years on a monthly membership that is complete useless. When you go to complain, they laugh on your face, and they write on a piece of paper a corporate phone number, good luck trying to reach someone there, when you finally get someone they tell you that you sign a contract and they will still charging you the time they want. THIS IS A SCAM, THEY STEALING MONEY PLAYING with your lovely pet, doing BAD BUSINESSES, UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL, EVERYTHING WHAT IS BAD ON BUSINESSES! EVERY TIME I WENT THERE WERE OTHER CUSTOMERS YELLING, COMPLAINING, for bad treatment, for money problems, PLEASE DO NOT FALL ON THIS THIEF HANDS, find a real vet for your loved friends! This is a BAD PLACE!

We have visited Banfield locations all over the country but this one has been our favorite so far! Each and every staff member was friendly, attentive, and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better crew to take care of our cats!

Terrible experience there…took our dog back and then no opportunity to meet with vet privately. Stood in a crowded lobby to talk!? Said the dog was “fine”. Didn’t know how to fax a prescription to Costco!? Obviously wanted us to get it there for a lot more money. Tried to get them to get a blood test but wouldn’t allow us to be with the dog to help!? Nobody seemed to know what was going on. Would NOT recommend this place ever. We have found a much better vet clinic.

Long hold times due to being short staffed. Waited an hour after appointment time to be seen after being told they'd "send someone now. " The staff is doing their best. They are very helpful when you do interact with them.

Take all my babies here. They make us feel like we're family Jackie and the gang hold up the front office as vet techs and doctors are always eager to answer any questions I need. Always on call for help right away.

I usually go to a different Banfield, but am currently staying at a friends house for two weeks so I thought I would call this location to bring my dog to for her vaccinations. My home hospital has been texting and emailing to remind me that my dog is due for her vaccinations. I called this location and the girl who answered the phone was very rude. She said that my home hospital was the one sending reminders (which I obviously already knew) and then told me which shots were due. I said okay and she was silent so I asked if I had to go to my home hospital to be able to get the vaccinations and she said no that I could go there, but then she went silent again instead of offering me appointment times. I just don't understand why she was not willing to be helpful. She was very short and her tone in which she spoke in was very condescending. If she is any indication of how they treat your pets at this location, I wouldn't want to bring my precious child here anyways!

Took my cat in for an exam because he had fleas that I got rid of, but they kept coming back. It was an ongoing issue with our dog bringing them inside, despite the dog being on flea tablets already.
I wanted to explain the whole issue to the Vet, get their recommendation on what to do for both pets. But they just took my cat in back and I was never given a chance to explain the whole issue to anyone.
I didn't like being separated from my cat because he has attachment issues and it was his first time going to the vet.
Then they recommend a flea med that I could have just bought over the counter. Shouldn't the pet owner be involved in the pet's treatment?
I paid $67 for an office visit, extra charges for the meds, but was never even introduced to the vet.
How do I know they even did any treatments?

I’ve been with Banfield for eight months now. One of our main concerns with Zeus (giant schnauzer) loose stool. I changed his dog food based on the doctors recommendations and the loose stool started back up. So I called to see whether we could get the pills once again for the loose stool. I was told by Amanda since he has not been seen by this particular doctor we cannot get any pills. Concerned about the dehydration Amanda told me “he could drink water” and I had to wait until the other doctor come back on Tuesday so he could not eat until then. At this point I was angry and as unprofessional as she was I knew in heart the information I was being told was incorrect. I called back and spoke with Emily who recommended some probiotics and a few cans of digestible dog food. I love my dog and to be told incorrect information especially if we are paying for certain services I expect them to at least do their job.

They have a good process system. A little busy and sometimes have to wait for doc talk but it all gets resolved in the end. They love out dog and treat her well.

Been going to Banfield for 15 years with my dogs and never had an issue. Today ended that. Had an appointment at 830 am to drop off my dog for a cut and maybe infection he got from a handcut he got a week ago at Petsmart. They told me he would be done by noon. Which worked because I had to go to Corona for a job at 2. I called at 1230 and they said they haven't looked at him yet but he was next. I went the then parking lot so when they called I could get and just go. They finally called me at 4: 45. I went in side and had to wait while the receptionist talked with a friend at the desk. They apologized for the wait because they were short staffed. Which I understand, but my dog was stuck in a kennel for at least 6-7 hours for a 30 min exam. When if they were honest at 830 I could have rescheduled or made other plans. The cut is right under his ear, when they brought him out it was bleeding so I asked for a paper towel and had to clean it myself. I then asked how to cover so he doesn't scratch it. They had no answer. The women said, well maybe bandages. I was so mad and disappointed. Looking for a new vet now.

This place has been great! I'm a new dog Mom with a rescue from Tijuana who has been needing a few vet visits. Took her and my 2 cats here within the last week - the staff are super friendly and Dr. Alvarado has been nothing short of amazing. She lets me ask what feels like a million questions on the phone and is so patient with me! So glad I made the switch!

Terrible attendance.incopent people.stupid.they do everything wrong and still charge more to fix it. NEVER HIRE THIS ROTTEN SERVICE!
