I should have read the he reviews. My dog went in for ear infection. The nurse didn’t even take the time to start the medication. They diagnosed my dog and sent him home to be treated. Never had I paid for just diagnosis and the medication. All vets seen in the past did some kind of treatment on site. Bad pet service.

I've brought my three cats here for their shots. The staff is wonderful and kind. They are awesome with my pets. I recommend bringing your pets here. They will be well taken care of.

This hospital used to be amazing they saved my dogs life. Unfortunately the service has gone to shame and its impossible to set an appointment in a reasonable time span (week and a half - 2 weeks) I had to cancel me wellness plans and move to a different veterinarian. Its a shame!

We've been clients for over 10 years. The original location inside Petsmart in Whittier was really convenient and we had a number of vets who were pretty good for our dogs. The move to Whittier Blvd next to a budget hotel and liquor store was bad. Not a particularly safe place with glass from broken loquor bottles a routine find. Addtionally, the pandemic practice of dropping your dog off and never meeting with the vet is not good. There is zero relationship with your vet. I could complain about cost but I think that is all vets. Having said all this, I still trust the vets and the staff is generally polite and nice even. I still recommend them but wish the location was better and more of a relationship could be created with the vet.

Just called to see if I could bring my dog in because he seems to have severe constipation. His tummy is hard and he is uncomfortable. Banfield said I can’t bring him in right now because they have to neuter a dog. I am a palled as I pay for the premium wellness plan monthly, but they can’t see my dog who is in pain because they have to cut another dogs balls off. Talk about money hungry. Thanks for nothing banfield. I guess I’ll pay for a second round of help.

Great staff and excellent services provided for our pets. They work very well with us on scheduling appointments and emergency visits. They also offer pet medical insurance which has saved us a lot. Thank you Banfield

Vets fine but they only offer drop off. My dog has to stay there all day for a routine check up.

My 14 year old dog had a scary abscess due to an infection in a tooth which required extraction. I was beyond worried about him, but trusted that Dr Wu would take the best care of Yankee. Dr Wu called three times and communicated with me throughout the entire procedure from start to finish. She was super kind and patient with all my questions and Dr Wu took all the necessary precautions during his surgery, especially since Yankee is older. Anesthesia is scary alone, add their age and unfortunately complications can happen. Luckily Yankee pulled through and he is recovering wonderful. I'm so grateful that Yankee was in the best hands. Thank you Dr Wu!

It's one thing to want to have a pet in your life, it's another thing to want a pet and to fully acknowledge the care that is needed throughout the lifetime of your furry friend. The costs of owning a puppy through its senior years can costs anywhere from 20k upward to 95k. Routine vet visits, vaccines, and dental care alone can cost 2k a year and that's not including medicine and emergency care. That's why it was such an easy decision to take advantage of the Banfield plan. There are many locations and many vets to choice from. Dr Wu is an exceptional skilled and loving Vet!

So many of the negative reviews are really based on the financial hardship and there is no price or limit on what I wouldn't do to care for my family pet who absolutely needs care. Just last month my dog cost me over 4K in medical care and it was the best money I spent knowing he's well and still here with us.

Thank you Banfield for always providing great care for Yankee!

I was on a wellness plan for my cat who unfortunately passed away earlier this year. I was never made aware that I would have to continue paying for the plan after he had passed and nowhere on the website does it mention it. I never received a call regarding it just a letter in the mail showing that I owed so many months on it. When I finally had the money I called the Whittier location and the girl at the front desk rudely gave me another number to call. Also I called several times regarding my cats medication and prescription for my cats diabetic medication and would never receive call backs. The vet at the location was very kind and helpful when my cat crossed over but I don’t have many kind words for the staff.
