I had to switch locations from this one. I can never get anybody on the phone. The voice message states they're closed when they're not. I called PetSmart and asked if the hospital was open and they said yes. So frustrating!

This Vet should absolutely be ashamed of themselves. Recently on two different occasions my kids had emergencies with their elderly dogs. Banfield would not help at all. These kids pay for the insurance through banfield, spends hundreds of dollars each and every visit and when they needed them most, Banfield was nowhere to be found. Absolutely shameful.

Love taking my little Susy there. Dr. Matin is fantastic as well as the staff. They all do a great job. The only complaint I would have is that sometimes the check-in and out can take a bit of time, but all and all they are great.

My pet had his drop off appointment for 945am well 130 comes around and no call so I give them a call and they let me know that he won’t be ready till after 3pm that’s already 5 hours he only went in for an exam I let the receptionist know that she said it’s a surgery day for the doctor so she will get to him as soon as she’s done with that ok fine so past 3 it’s 430 nothing so I went in to see what was going on I get the same answer well I understand the reasoning but this should be communicated at time of making app or maybe other things shouldn’t be scheduled on surgery day it’s not fair for our pets to have to sit in a cage and wait 7 hours to not even be seen yet I asked for my dog and went home I’ve never had this type of experience with banfield Oxnard before I have been taking all my pets there since forever I think they need to work on communication when it comes to this

I brought my dog in because he was having multiple seizures a day. The other place we took him was horrible. Proceeded to blame us for his seizures and wanted to run unnecessary exams and X-rays. Our dog couldn't even walk. We knew it was time he was laid to rest. Not put him through anymore stress. I am thankful that banfield was able to get us in ASAP and listened to what I had to say they were compassionate, understating, and welcoming. They knew it was time. They walked my family and I through every step of the process to euthanize our dog. They let us spend time with him, say our goodbyes and just treated us amazing while going through this hard time. Thank you so much to Sasha, Diana, Dr Linderman and Susan.

Dr. C was amazing, explained everything she did to my furbaby and the next step to keep his ears free from infections

First time taking my cat here so did not know what to expect. My appointment was at 9am and I was told it was a drop-off… So I had to leave my cat and one whole hour went by and nothing. I called asking what’s the hold up for a plain checkup. That’s when they informed me the doctor was performing a surgery and that she will attend my cat once she’s done. Three hours passed until I could pick up my cat. Hated waiting but the doctor was very helpful in explaining my cats situation than the last places I’ve gone for advice. So that made up for the hold up but just be ready if they mention a drop-off. I would’ve rather have taken my cat home and come back once the doctor was available than having to wait anxiously for a phone call at any minute not allowing me to do my errands in peace.
