Bangkok House Restaurant, Ridgecrest CA

We usually love ordering from here, but tonight's experience was awful. We called in an order and were told 30-40 minutes, after over an hour we called to check on our order. Things get busy We understand but were told they haven't found the time to deliver our order and when they did we would receive it. Upon receiving it, it was inedible. Ordered chicken pad thai and it had an overwhelming taste of fish. Didn't taste anything like our usual pad thai from them it's usually Excellent.

Didn’t include an entire dinner in our order. Noodles were flavorless, no peanuts, no bean sprouts, couldn’t even taste the fish sauce. Rice was really good, to be fair. Bet the fish would have been amazing too, if we’d gotten it. For $80 you’d think there’d be some care.

The cost of the food remained the same, but the portions were cut significantly to match the new packaging. Bangkok house used to be my go-to for making delicious leftovers last, however it is now more of a luxury than something I can recommend my friends go to eat during their lunch breaks or to order on their way home from work.

The food is still amazing. Personally my fav place to get food from in Ridgecrest. Be aware the portions for delivery are much smaller than they were and are NOT WORTH the price.

Delicious for a rare treat, not good on the wallet. If you are going to eat Bangkok House - do not do delivery unless you like paying for less!

Again - amazing food. But me and my friends are going from frequent eaters to treating this place rare splurge and will advise others to do the same.

I do hope this is just growing pains from the recent change in management and I would love to change my rating to a 5 if there was a return to how it was before. I wish I could rate this place a 5 for the taste alone - because it certainly deserves it.

This was my favorite restaurant in Ridgecrest because they used to have a vegan menu, but recently you can’t order any vegetarian option on Uber Eats, and they also decreased the portion size, sadly. Still yummy though.

Quite a discovery for a weary traveller. The staff were so pleasant and helpful and the food was delicious. The fried cheese wontons and the thom kha soup hit the spot and topped a wonderful day.

Put in an online order for pick-up and received confirmation email and text. When I arrived to get my food at the directed time, the restaurant was closed and no one has answered the phone number listed to provide a refund.

Gave me someone else’s order and asked I drive back which I begrudgingly did but wasted 20 minutes. I figured they would throw in something extra for wasting my time but they did not.

The food is good and they are very prompt.
The restaurant has a lot of Thai stuff. They are open for a long time.

Despite changing hands a few times along the way, this low-key local eatery has served up solid Thai and pan-Asian specialties for decades - the Tom Kha Goong is a particular favorite. The curries, rice and noodle dishes can all be ordered to your preferred degree of spiciness. Service can be a bit slow due to a persistent lack of wait staff, but the food that eventually arrives is always worth the wait. A recent refresh significantly improves the atmosphere for those dining in, although they appear to do as much carry-out and delivery business as dine-in, if not more.

Food is hit or miss it tastes really good but sometimes I'm ok.others it's a photo finish to the toilet or looking for a big shrub.beware

We were happy to find this place open late and with so many vegan options. Having travelled all day we were so hungry. We had a very friendly welcome and got to taste delicious Thai food. I recommend this place without hesitation.
