This place is popular; you can tell it from its concise menu, which has no more than five sheets. The menu is simple, specialized, and affordable, but what's even better is that the food is delicious. Due to the place's popularity, I suggest going on a weekday, arriving early, or not going there too hungry.

The staff makes a great effort to serve all customers promptly and attentively, even when there is a long queue. They don't pressure you to finish your food quickly or keep track of you with the check when they serve you your food.

The place could be improved by having more tables and space inside.

My sister and I usually come here when we are craving banh cuon. We usually get the #1 with a little bit of everything. They get your plate to you pretty quickly. Be careful of the red chili condiment on the table. It is very spicy! We added a half spoon of it into our nuoc mum and it was a very painful experience. Recommended to only add very very little and add more after tasting it.

I'm just not used to their food, which is probably very authentic and they had plenty of customers. The servers are friendly.

First time having banh cuon here! Since then I’ve been back and brought new friends and they got hooked too! I love the shrimp banh cuon and the nem nuong rolls. Food comes out fast. Expect a short wait to be seated. The wait is well worth it!

Holding back a star until I try their Udon. Food is good - small restaurant and gets crowded - not sure what part of Vietnam their food a based on but it’s worth a trip to try.

The bun moc had light flavorful broth that came with a huge side of fresh veggies. Super delicious!

A friend recommended that we try this place out, and that's what we did. We were not hungry as we just ate, but since it was close by, we had to come. It is located in the Vietnam Town Plaza among many restaurants and drink places. I knew this place was legit when I saw the jug of nuoc mam at each table. We just decided to get the #1, Banh Cuon Dat Biet, which had a little bit of everything. The rice roll here is pretty good, and you can tell it's freshly made. It's definitely worth a try. I only wished we were really hungry when we came.

I’ve been here 3+ times for the bánh cuốn đặc biệt. It’s always packed when I go, and no wonder, because the food is delicious. The variety on the plate is unique and I would highly recommend coming here if you’re craving bánh cuốn

Plus, it’s a plaza so you can walk around for dessert options after!

Banh Cuon is full of black pepper to a point that i cannot swallow it
Banh Canh Cua is better, lots of toppings but if you are msg sensitive like me, it's not for you
Bo kho tastes like soup base from a jar. Nothing special. Definitely not authentic/home cook like
Bo Bia is great
They all have great portion and lots of toppings/meat

Absolutely worth the wait! Without a doubt, it's the BEST banh cuon I've ever had, and it stood out as one of the highlights of my trip to San Jose. The assortment of sides and add-ons that come with the Banh Cuon Dac Biet plate is a delightful bonus.

I like the banh cuon, banh canh, bo kho here. The foods are good with their prices. The people are nice too just they don't dress up with the uniforms. The foods come out quickly too. It is a nice place to din out with some types of Vietnamese Traditional food.

Our favorite place to their rice roll, especially the #1 Banh Cuon Dac Biet. There seems to be always a line waiting for tables. But they have a lot of tables outside. Often it is just they are short on staff in cleaning up the tables.

I've been here twice and the banh cuon has been great both times. The summer rolls are also good. Service could be much better. Both times I've gone, they forgot about us and never refilled waters, which is hard to deal with because it's mostly outdoor seating and eating anything with salty fish sauce is hard to do without water.

The restaurant is small and short on staff. There’s only 1 cleaning staff and he’s a middle aged uncle, so if you come in and find the table dirty or not clear of previous customer’s plates, be patient standing next to the table. The uncle will eventually come.
First time come in, we didn’t know that sitting by the table waiting for orders to be taken means dine-in, and lining up before the cashier means take-out.
I saw a long line, so I went to line up and order. We chose a table and waited for 20 minutes only to have our orders in takeout plastic bag.
The food is good though. We ordered one Special Banh Cuon and one Banh canh thit. My husband likes the Banh cuon, but the fiah sauce is too spicy to me. On the other hand, I really like Banh canh.
Will come again, and this time we will wait patiently at the table for the waiter:)

Very disappointed #1. Inside meat roll, it was boiled meat from soup, not completely fresh meat stir fired. Maybe this will be last stop.

Stumbled upon this place while waiting for a friend in the Vietnamese plaza. The place was packed and the food looked really amazing so, we came back to try it for Sunday brunch. Come early as they do get busy. Indoor and outdoor seating are available. Service is quick and food comes out fast.
We ordered the bahn cuon special and also a beef stew. The portions are large and very shareable.
Truly enjoyed the food and coffee.

The typical street style Vietnamese rice roll combo with either meat or shrimp fillings. This is one of the better rice rolls shop, where the texture is fine and bouncy. Good umami and spice in the sauce.
