If I could give one star I would this bank from the top on down is the worst bank ever. Trying to call about my loan called one # they tell me to call another.and the Branch MGR YUKI who is totally worthless in assisting me. Gives me the the first number that I called, she then informs me that I need to come in to their branch and her words "we can call them together". Their bank is 30min from my home, with all the technology with phones and group calling why can they not assist me. I could go on about this had many problems it that this time I decided to write about it. I had n choice that this bank took my loan, bet me if I had a choice I would not have.
Please save your frustration and avoid this bank.

My wife and I recently had a family trust set up by a California paralegal. She drafted a clear, simple letter directing Bank of the West to change the title of our bank account to that of the new trust. On my first visit to this branch, the person I showed the letter to didn't seem to understand the single sentence directive. She kept asking me if I wanted to create a new trust. "No, " I told her, "just read the first sentence of the letter. " She finally seemed to understand, and then she told me that I would have to come back on a day when their notary was in. I would also need to make an appointment with the person who handles trusts.

Two days later (on a day the notary was scheduled to be in) I phoned at 10 AM to make sure that the notary was in, and asked to make an appointment. I was told that the notary was all booked up for the day, and I would have to come in the next day. OK, we made an appointment for the next day.and I spoke with the person who would be handling the trust matter. I read the paralegal's letter to him over the phone, and he first asked, "Has your wife passed? " No, I told him, nobody had "passed. " We just want the title of our account changed to that of the trust.

On the day of our appointment, my wife and I arrived on time, with our ID cards and all relevant trust documents. It soon became apparent that "Mori" had very little experience with trusts. We spent 45 minutes at his desk, filling out forms which we could have downloaded and filled out at home BEFORE our visit. Much of our time was spent waiting for this inexperienced trust guy to get answers to his own questions on a phone call to somebody else with the bank. Toward the end of the ordeal we were instructed to provide one relative's Social Security number, which we did not have with us. (Again, we could have obtained this in advance had we known we'd need it). Fortunately, our relative was available by phone even though he was at work. After 45 minutes of sitting, my wife asked if she could use the restroom. "No, " she was told, "their restrooms are only for the bank's employees, not customers. "

Service. What service?

We have a savings account with another bank. With them, all we had to do was sign a similar letter that the paralegal had prepared for that bank and mail it to them along with a brief notarized document that identifies the trust.

Even though I have set up several direct deposits and bill payments with Bank of the West, I am considering taking our business elsewhere.

I wish I could give them 0 stars! The manager gave me incorrect and illegal information and was rude and extremely unprofessional. Stay far away from this branch if you have any banking needs.

The worst bank I have ever dealt with. Random Service Charges, PETTY overdraft fees, 30 minutes wait time on the phone, 30 minute wait time in person. I am so excited to close my account with Bank of the West. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I have to come here for work deposits and it is easily a 20-40 min wait EVERY SINGLE TIME. I would never personally bank here, employees are courteous but not necessarily friendly, never an apology for the extended wait, awkward silence while they process the transactions. The hours they keep are ridiculous. I understand COVID-19 is a factor but I believe this is plain bad management. I will complain to my company until they change banks because this one is completely awful.

Youkey said she was the manager when I asked to speak to a manager. She said she was unable to refund a 35 dollar debit nsf fee. Yes it was bad book keeping on my part but seriously with 23 cents in my acct I need the 35 dollars alot more than the bank does.

Worst of worst bank award goes to this branch, I usually go here at my lunch break to get my banking done. The tellers are some of worst they can hire but it get the job done if you out live the life time of waiting in line. Now it is close for lunch at 12 noon last week. I figure if I get there earily it would work. Wrong they now close at 11: 45am. Need to take my banking other place.

The Worst Bank to bank with. Closing my account and taking my money elsewhere. Customer service is terrible. The bank tellers and slow and rude. I highly suggest banking with a different bank. If I could give it to zero Stars I would.

The worst banking experience in my life. They didnt know what they were doing. Tellers are asking for help. The help is asking for help too! Either the system is horrible or they are not properly trained. I have not moved up in line for the past 20 minutes. I asked what the hold up was and there is only one teller available! 7 people here and only one person to service 10 people waiting.

I went in to get a new card because mine had expired.it has taken 4 different trips to the bank and 3 different phone calls to customer service
If I could give less stars I would
BOW customer service has fallen to a new depth
In the last 4 weeks i have been trying to get a new atm card
I have visited this bank 3 separate times wasting my time trying to get a new card
Jesus D. Arteaga lied saying I would have a new card sent to me With in 5 days (that I never received).
I had to call customer service 4 different time trying to figure out what’s going on with my acct. I was told something different each time. The most concerning being I was told by the customer service number I needed to reactivate my expired atm card. Which didn’t make sense so I had them send me a new one a week ago I called back to see why I havnt received it in the mail and they barely today
