Banzai Surf School, Huntington Beach CA

I went here as an adult and loved it and then I brought my daughter here and she absolutely loved it. Both of us had zero experience and this place is perfect for that.

Kalani almost appears more comfortable in the water than out He explained the basics of surfing well and gave really useful feedback after every ride. So there is a great chance of getting up and riding a long wave. On top of that, he was fun and chilled and the 'toe' tow he executes to help you get out the back is unbelievable. Highly recommend and thanks for a great morning!?

Everything about my experience with Banzai Surf School left me stoked.

The crew were flexible in the face of rescheduling due to weather, working around my schedule to accommodate later lesson, and adding/removing services as needed.

Jake was my instructor. He expertly tailored the lesson to my skill level, and gave me several helpful cues that improved my surfing almost instantly. Awesome guy!

Joe taking pictures was also fun. He was high-energy and encouraging, too.

I'd come here again if I'm back in the area.

I actually stood and surf at the second try. The teacher is so nice and taught us very well. Surfing was so fun!

Took some out of town friends here for their first time - super smooth and easy process. Instruction itself was great. Location was perfect, right next to showers / changing areas. They were great about making the whole process enjoyable and educational. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had a GREAT time during our private lesson with Kai! It was our first time surfing while we were on vacation in California. We also saw a dolphin and a seal while we were out!

Kai was patient with us and provided easy to follow instructions during each wave. Both Banzai and Kai seemed very open to teaching people with different strength levels! Banzai also had wet suits that fit plus size people.

Had a great beginner lesson this morning! Everyone in our group got up! Everyone was super helpful and nice. Couldn’t recommend it more! Will be coming back.

It's been 3 years since my daughter had her surf lessons from Banzai and she still talks about it regularly. This is something that she will never forget. Being able to give her this experience is one of my highlights as a father.

In a family of surfers we could not get our 11 yr old youngest into the surf without a fight. After his first day at Bonsai surf camp he came home smiling from ear to ear. He had a blast, made new friends and he said the instructor, Nathan gave him the confidence he needed.

GREAT SURF SCHOOL! Highly recommend Banzai! My son and his friend took a lesson on a Friday morning. After the lesson, they went and rented surfboards for the week and were out surfing every morning at 7: 30 am on vacation. The kids had a great time and the instructors and photographer were awesome.

First time learning how to surf was a blast! Lily was a great instructor and Joe was a fantastic photographer. We will come here again next time we're in SoCal!

We took a first time surf lesson with Sam. We enjoyed it a lot. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Sam was a great instructor and was patient and helpful. We can’t wait to go again with Bonzi!

Dave was a fantastic instructor and was remarkably patient and kind with our kids (18 and 13). He took first time surfers and converted them into wanting more. We truly loved the experience and I would highly recommend Banzai and Dave! The experience was safe and at no time did we feel any apprehension.
