Barbarella Restaurant & Bar reviews
21Great service, good food, and tasty cocktails. Excited to go back and try other dishes. They were very accommodating with outdoor seating and had warmers to keep awhile the night chill.
Amazing food! Cute/cozy dog friendly dining experience, (complete with a dog menu!) Great service, delicious drinks, prices are excellent for quality of dishes! Top-notch experience.
Had a company party here and a good brunch yesterday. I had the Huevos Rancheros and it was tasty; some breakfast potatoes served alongside as well.
Worst customer service I've experienced in any restaurant, took forever to even ask us what we wanted to drink and continued to serve other tables that got there after we did.
Great little place. Friendly staff. Great food. I had the lamb and it melted in my mouth. They also had lots of Christmas decorations everywhere. Very cute
Great decore and service, the personnel is very kind and attentive, the wine selection by glass is not that great, however a good overall experience.
We had the best time ever eating at this restaurant I had mushroom risotto it was to die for my partner had parmesan chicken excellent! Alcohol drinks were fabulous!
Extremely friendly, helpful, kind, caring waitstaff. REALLY nice portion sizes, everything was flavored very well, great atmosphere, interesting desserts
The food and drinks were decent, hit or miss really. My sister loved her fettuccine, but some of the other stuff wasn't as good. The service and atmosphere were fantastic though. Wait staff was very friendly and accommodating, and we loved the Halloween decorations for the season.
This place was super cute but bad service Honestly I would give it a 0 star but I can’t. I’m pretty disappointed. This place said restaurant and bar. We wanted drinks so we stopped by here. The front girl was nice but the server not so much. We got bottomless mimosas. She told us we had to order food because of the bottomless. I ordered a plate but she didn’t even check up on us at all. We switched our bottomless mimosa to a glass because she didn’t check up on us and we only had one glass the whole time there. When we asked to switch she gave us attitude. Super rude. As we were leaving, we heard her she say “I”ll never serve them again. ” Not sure if it was towards us but that’s still super unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
My first time here and really enjoyed it. Large servings, 4 of us had dinner, everyone had different meals and all were great!
First time going to this restaurant. The staff are friendly. The prices are super super high for the quality and the portion you get. My girlfriend ordered caesar salad with chicken and we got charged $13 for just 3 pieces of chicken. This is really ridicules.
Amazing drinks and equally impressive food. We sat out on the patio and the waitress took great care of us!
This place used to be soo good! But recently they changed their menu for the worse! All my favorite items are gone. They also changed dessert menu. I love basically all desserts, you can’t go wrong with sugar so thinking enthusiastically I decided to give new menu a try. My attention caught passion fruit and mango cheesecake. Sounds delicious, right? So I order new cheesecake with some other items to go and can’t wait to get home to try new deliciousness. It has be divine, it is $14! Low and behold, I open my box at home and there stares at me the most plain slab of vanilla cheesecake you can buy for couple bucks at any grocery store with some cut up on top slimy underripe mango (honestly I wasn’t sure if it was mango because it tasted gross and very bitter but it is definitely not passion fruit! Which looks very different). I kept digging into it thinking there will be a delicious surprise…no! It was just plain store bought vanilla cake with gross little prices of mango. If it was my restaurant I would be deeply embarrassed to serve anything like this! I feel really dumb for even thinking it was going to be good. But the name.the price… right? I’m really not sure what they are thinking!
We planned a private event at Barbarella for our wedding rehearsal and had a great experience. They were extremely responsive and accommodating throughout the planning process. The private patio was perfect for our needs and the food was delicious.
I tried chicken Parmesan and it was not good. Definitely not worth the price, it was bland. Not much options in the menu. I would not pay more than $10 for it. Don’t waste your money there.
Flies! Was sitting outside in the patio and everything’s nice. All of the sudden a couple flies come in and bite the food, and they just ruined the whole dinner.
We visited Barbarella on 4th of July weekend while vacationing in the La Jolla area. The restaurant was very clean, the service was prompt, and the food was great! Highly recommend the Chicken Caesar Wrap. I would also like to give a huge shoutout to our server, Greyson. She was amazing, super personable, an an all-around excellent server!
This was a wonderful place with wonderful staff! Great engagement happened here which the staff gifted a great bottle of champagne to the newly engage couple. Staff and the people that patron here are wonderful, friendly, lively and all around great. I would without question recommend this place any day.
Love, love, loved, this place! Great drinks amazing food, and perfect outdoor seating with fire lamps for cooler evenings. We were seated right away, and our waitress was so kind and friendly. The prices were $25-$46 dollars a meal. Most of the entrees over $30.
The kids meal (I think was $12, or something close to that) came with decent portions and a scoop of gelato <3
If you have kids with smaller appetites, I'm sure your kids could share a pizza and ice cream scoop. Otherwise the leftovers are great for lunch the next day.
