Bare Back Grill reviews
20No separate gluten-free menu, but there are some choices here. They have gluten-free buns for the burgers, but the fries are made in a common fryer with gluten ingredients. I decided to go with the shrimp and mango salad - it was lovely.
I've been to San Diego a few times over the last month and came here both times, the food is absolutely fantastic. The crab benedict is probably the best thing I've ever had. The drinks are fantastic and the service is good. Great for people watching and enjoying some sunshine. I will definitely return.
EYe LOVE THIS PLACE ️
Possibly rodents trying to make their way in the kitchen. I was sitting in the back patio area when I see a big one dragging his junk across the side walk…3 feet away from the back kitchen door. I had told one of the ladies who was mixed in the drama about it. She was a good woman. I had mentioned to her that my grandmother lived down south…and also how my first pet was a beautiful chow chow. We called him Bernie lol. (Oh also the packer fan, any packer fan I meet is heaven sent? …just saying)
Then there’s HaYYY-den, don’t get me started with that hubbuh? Chubbuh. (Terrible general manager or whatever thrown he sits on with his “servers”). Migrate more towards mission beach.
These areas your walking on egg shells if you enjoy your peace.
Just moved to PB and really wanted to try this place after walking by it, so came here for dinner. The ambience was really great at night. The food was incredible. I had the meat pies with fries. The meat pies were delicious with a wonderful pastry crust, served on a massive pile of steak fries. What really made the dish was their special BBQ sauce (it's to die for). My wife had gotten the lamb kabob skewers which had wonderful flavor, cooked perfectly, and served with a deliciously fresh hummus. Only complaint on the kabobs was that there wasn't all that much meat. So, if you're hungry, I'd go with something else. I also had a bite of my friends meatloaf which was amazing, and my favorite dish there. This is a must visit restaurant in PB!
Great spot for drinks, Vegan food, and all around miraculous food. Food is phenomenal and drinks are spectacular! Get a vegan burger or get yourself a natural burger. Service is phenomenal. Get Kevin as a bartender if you’re looking for a spot by yourself! Mate is great!
Best burger I’ve had in my life! The sauces are made in house and delicious! I can’t have gluten and there were plenty of GF options. 10 out of 10!
Do not order the Patty Melt. They add a cold wet relish which causes the bread to get soggy and the burger falls apart. Service was ok.
NZ based fare and decor; decided to go here based off a recommendation. I went with the lamb skewers, which were perfectly cooked. The wind was ripping through the restaurant making it cooler than what I like, but that’s fine.
I always get vegan burger here. Very tasty! The staff is amazing. Been coming back for a few years now!
Giving it 4 stars just because after the menu change my favorite item got a bit overpriced.
Love the taste, but it was like eating a children's meal. I know sliders are supposed to be small, but it was so thin that I could almost see through it. Where's the beef? !
Always a pleasure to eat here. 3rd visit here over a few years. Consistently great service, excellent atmosphere and the food is delicious. Meat pies were scrumptious, and the Bloody Mary was spot on. Although I did get order envy on each meal I saw go by. Fish and chips, or the steak salad looked awesome too.
Lunch was good but pricey. One guy running around to cover all the tables by himself. Except for those at the bar everyone was in and out quickly.
Great food terrible customer service. I made an online order and they didn’t have an item that was purchased after the fact. Instead of helping and considering to swap out or even discount the online order, they recommended to place another online order.
This was absolutely amazing. The food, the atmosphere, the music isn’t too loud, just right. The burger, my gosh. I enjoyed the patty melt so much, I came back the next day. The burgers are so so so good, if you are thinking of trying this place out, do it! All of the food, and the potato fries. The staff are kind, sweet, not overbearing. I will be returning every time I visit San Diego.
I had the lamb burger and it was delicious. Even though the food was awesome, the reason I came to write this review is because our server was AWESOME. Fernando was very kind, attentive, and was probably one of the best servers we have had in a while. Definitely will be coming back
It’s one of those places as soon as we walked in I knew it was going to be great. Friendly people and our food was delicious. I had the fish and chips and my hubby had the hogs and heifer burger.
Had an excellent experience! Not only were the food and drinks delicious, but our waiter Alex was an absolute angel, and very helpful during a medical emergency my husband unexpectedly had.
This place has organic, grass-fed beef and gluten-free options. And typical prices for a burger. I got the Maui Waui burger, GF bun. It was great! However, the sides are pretty disappointing. Less than a handful of potato chips and a few slices of pickles.
Love Bare Back Grill! I would eat there a few times a week if I didn't live in Nebraska! Nice outdoor seating if you like eating outside.
I had avocado toast, which I thought I had an image of, but can't find. It comes with a salad, fantastic garnishes like special radishes and cucumbers. You can add smoked salmon, which I would do if you like salmon. It is excellent and is a generous portion. I could eat about half and my husband at the rest. He had the farmers breakfast and loved it. Special tots with shaved parmesan. Bloody Marys are delish, albeit pretty darn spicy. Coffee is also great. Of note: they have a little coffee stand on the side street right next to the restaurant that supplies the restaurant with special coffees. It also is a great place. The restaurant has friendly, attentive staff. Only con: some days, if we didn't go to the patio, the music was extra loud inside the restaurant. I don't mind it at happy hour and expect it, but for breakfast, I am thinking coffee and convo.
I had the average joe burger and it was literally one of the best burgers Ive ever had! We weren't excited about the chips instead of fries until we had them, they were delicious too! Definitely recommend, really cool place inside and food is great.
