Barnsdall Art Park reviews
14Cute little Park. Natives were none too happy with my drone flying.overhead but that's on me. The security staff (prior to the debut of my drone) was very rude and pushy, he took their 5 stars down to 3.
This is a little oasis, just off Sunset Blvd. (behind Kaiser). I remember years ago they had an art show of special, old patchwork quilts. Some were made for dolls. It was really cute. That was a special time that I shared with my mother️
This place is NOT a dog park; it's a park you can take your dog to play off leash and that's as good as it gets. Surrounded by busy streets, tour buses and people everywhere, dogs must have excellent recall and voice control which makes this a great place for a family outing with Fido.
One of the most beautiful places in Los Angeles. Home of Cal Academy of Sciences, Japanese Garden, Conservatory of Flowers, de Young, and more! Every major race runs through here (well, Bay to Breakers and Nike Women's Marathon).
This park is so big, you need a few days just to explore the whole thing. Every time we go to Los Angeles, we explore a new area and we're always amazed by it.
My favorite place in CA. Go to Say Cheese cheese ship in Los Angeles and then have a picnic at the park! Every time I have visitors I take them here!
Crazy fun for all ages! Even my 75-year mother enjoyed the slides.:) There was already cardboard at the slides so we didn't need to bring any. We went on a Friday and there were just a few smaller kids there who didn't stay long. There are two slides side by side so you can race. This was a fun time! /
I don't care if you're an adult - you're coming here if you're in SF. This small park is in the middle of a residential area. Looking at pictures of the slides, I thought there was going to be barely any momentum going down, but my goodness, this was the fastest slide I've ever been on.
A huge park that's only good for locals hanging out like exercise, picnic, laying on the grass, painting and such in my opinion. For tourists it's just too big to walk between places on weekdays, they do offer shuttle rides on weekends and major holidays though.
I love that this exists in the city. It's like a completely different world when you're inside this park. The tall trees block out all the outside noise and provide a relaxing aroma while you're exploring the grounds. Perfect place to come and unwind, exercise, or take your dog on a long journey through the wooded trails. Be sure to check out the rose garden, it's free, and my personal favorite.
Hilltop park with a view of the Hollywood sign and The Griffith Observatory. Filled with Facilities that embrace, admire and celebrate Art and draws the community closer and together.
A very beautiful, hidden spot right in the middle of everything. Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture is always breathtaking but the area surrounding his work highlights the beauty even more. And great city views!
The renovated hollyhock house was fantastic. They should be ashamed not allowing pictures of the interior. The only work by Wright that won't allow pictures as far as I know. Here in Barnsdall is also the contemporary museum of art. I have been there many times and I do not have words for how bad their exhibits are. I have never seen anything that did not suck in a major way.
It’s a wonderful place to be on a sunny day. Lovely view of the city with the iconic Hollywood Sign and Griffith observatory. The Hollyhock House is worth visiting.
