I went there last Saturday for my girlfriend birthday. Before we got in, I saw one of the security was mocking my sign language without realizing I am literally a deaf person. Maybe he didn’t like me because my girlfriend said they don’t want people to wear Jordan shoes before we get in. I can tense a bad vibes from them.

However, I moved on for a few hours having fun and dancing with friends. The drinks was good. I also make new friends as well.

Somehow the place was starting to get really packed and it was hard for me to get through getting my girlfriends attention, so I shoved the security to get out of my way (it is part of the deaf culture to touch people so we can get through) the security randomly grabbed me down and start choking me. I couldn’t breathe for a few minutes and 2 days later, I am still in pain. I’m a little dude and im surprised I’m a “threat” to them since they are a lot bigger than I am.

Definitely will never go back there again.

I tipped them more than $50+ and paid about $300… so technically I tipped them so they can choke me and kick me and my friends out? Way to go security. I hope y’all investigate this and get him fired.

Don’t go here they pick and choose who they want in they denyed my guest because he have Jordan on when there’s others people with same shoe one I talked to owner and still wouldn’t let my guest in this place is a joke no Jordan’s can enter put I took pic of people wearing Jordan’s

We just attempted to get into Bar West at 4pm and because 1 person had on a blue Tshirt we were turned away. We were told that had the person had on more than one color we would have been in the clear. If the person in question had been of a different Nationality I feel we would have been allowed in without question. The person who denied us entry actually had on a blue shirt as well. The person who was denied entry even presented an alternative form of identification proving that he was part of the law enforcement community but he was still denied entry. I have always heard that Bar West discriminates against certain patrons but I have now experienced it first hand. It is really sad and unfortunate that businesses in Sacramento are incapable of practicing
discernment and put a particular race in a box to deem them as a threat. I will forever refrain from frequenting this establishment which in turn will be at the loss of Bar West as we were prepared to spend a fair amount of money.

Great place for young people to spend good time with friends, also perfect place for those who are looking for sport bar.

I loved our waitress, Sam, but after an hour of sitting in a booth, we were asked to move because the manager wanted our booth. They reserved the booth next to us but they realized that our booth had a better view to the tv and made us move. When we politely said no, they called the bouncer over, and he threatened us. In the end we ended up moving. They have horrible customer service and I will never go back there.

I was impressed with the remodel since the last time I was here. The bar is really nice. The while place seems to have really opened up and the vibe is super cool! No happy hour here but heard about tequila Tuesdays! All tequila is half priced.
So I ordered some wings lemon pepper cause that's my favorite and I like them to be crispy so.well done. They were ok.a little too much seasoning so I was happy to have the ranch to help cut the salt. Was very disappointed in the celery and carrots. It would have been better to leave it off the plate. My husband ordered the sliders and those were excellent! Had a few beers and enjoyed the big projector screen.so huge and clear. So all in all I'd come back and try again. The atmosphere is awesome and the people working were super sweet! 4 stars only because the various and celery and no happy hour.

The atmosphere was nice. The service was fair. The chicken sandwich and fries took a while, but I didn’t mind it. I ordered a drink called the Dirty Disco, it was served in a disco ball like cup, that was cute. The only thing that triggered me was when the security guard made a big deal about walking out with the cup upon leaving. I assumed it was a souvenir being that it was a disposable plastic cup which was empty. It was very uncomfortable because their whole security crew hanging with him watched me put it back, like I did something ultimately drastic. It wasn’t my intention to steal it, but maybe the security guard wanted to look like a macho man in front of his crew and felt that it was cool to embarrass one person. Thinking back that the plastic disposable cup is being used multiple times had me question their sanitation considering that their prices are high, but can’t afford additional disposable plastic cups. Definitely not the best birthday experience, but the security guard was so happy in making a fool out of me over something so petty, and I’m sure that after reading this review they wouldn’t care so it is what it is I guess.
