Base Camp Pizza Co. reviews
15First time there, and we will definitely go back! Great pizza, friendly attentive service, and great atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Even though the host that seated us wasn’t very pleasant, the waitress on the other hand was adorable and friendly.
We tried a few pizzas and were all amazing!
They had live music as well so was pretty good. Hope to come back
The best in the area! The wait can be long but I recommend waking around and enjoying the surroundings
Been going here for years every time we are in Tahoe. The atmosphere is great, the employees are always very friendly and helpful, and the food is always delicious! We always get the wings w the Gorgonzola dipping sauce- so yummy! The Caesar salad with shrimp always! And cannot forget the Thai pizza, it’s so unique but always so so good if you enjoy Thai food! Have to stop here it’s always a great experience and yummy food to match!
Solid pizza and excellent friendly service. It was a little cool at night, but heaters were awesome.
Our trip to Tahoe included at least 4 visits to base camp pizza. The food is absolutely amazing - variety of pizzas (Thai chicken, pear and Gorgonzola, fire roasted medley and CYO - meatball, onion and peppers) - all fantastic, wings are great and bolognese with meatballs were delicious throughout our many trips here. Craft cocktails and live music during the day and night. We’re here in September and had a wait during the evenings. Patio is heated. Hate to share this place but it’s a definite don’t miss!
There pizza here is incredible. It's a fun place to be too. My only complaint was that they were understaffed for how busy it was. Not really the fault of the waiters and waitresses, they were clearly running around like mad men they simply need to hire at least one more person on a Saturday night shift. But don't not go here cause of that, and also try the Thai pizza it's unusual but fantastic.
We were here a couple of years ago between skiing days. What a great place! Plenty of fun cocktails, great beer on draft and good appetizers. But really what we come for is the Thai curry pizza. WOW. The fresh ingredients and the creamy cheese and just right crust make for a great 'can't get this at home' meal.
Looking forward to coming back in couple more years:)
This place was really cool, instead of waiting an hour I just sat at the bar, pizza was perfect. I had mushroom, katamala olives and garlic it was an umami bomb!
I’m an avid pizza eater and I LOVED this place. Soooo good. Recommended by locals & didnt disappoint.
Great slice of pie. Ingredients were plentiful. Our salads were fresh and tasteful. Highly recommend.
Great Pizza (seriously yum!) - nice thin crust, neither too much nor too little of anything. We ordered Margherita and Mediterranean pizza and cheesy garlic bread. Quite a few vegetarian options. Amazing service. Really good vibes. Space to sit both inside and outside as well as bar area. Also there was in-house musician and singer - really fun vibes.
First of all, if you are looking for the best gluten free pizza, look no further. This crust is the best I have tried, ever. I recommend trying the garlic chips from the appetizer menu and specifying that you’d like them gluten free, because they nearly made my wife and I weep. The texture of the crust and the flavor is unreal, as close to a gluten pizza crust I have ever had, and not just any gluten pizza crust, a phenomenal gluten pizza crust. I really cannot stress enough how delicious this crust is compared to any other gluten free crust I have tried. My wife and I are honeymooning here in Tahoe and after one bite of the pizza, we looked at each other, each took another bite out of sheer disbelief, then decided we’d be coming back here every year for our anniversary because it is that incredible. Definitely worth going out of your way to try this pizza if you are celiac or gluten intolerant.
Gets very busy and is on first come first serve. Don’t accept reservations. Pizza is bomb though!
