Bass Pro Shops Tracker Boat Center reviews
25 This is a fun store with so much more than just firearms and camping gear, I like it here!
Not to mention, great customer service.
Went to look at a 22 handgun for my son. Yes I know the laws. The gun will be registered to me yes, I know what documents I need. My son and I were there to see what fit him best. The guy at the counter asked if we needed help, I told him we were looking for a 22 handgun for my son and the first words out of his mouth was well your buying yourself a gun. I do not need a lesson in semantics. Maybe try what a good father for teaching gun safety and use to a child at a young age. (My son is 11 and has been shooting for a while.) Well one guy cost your business my business.
TL;DR: Store lied, wouldn't honor the lie, then an employee grabbed paperwork out of my hand.
Story: I called the corporate customer service number today to ask about their story policies on competitor price matching, and was told that each store handles that policy on their own. I called the store (Rocklin location) and asked if they price-matched, and was told they did. I explained the details (mailed ad in hand from a local brick-and-mortar store), and was told "yeah, no problem" so I drove ~20 miles to the store with all the necessary paperwork to purchase a firearm.
River City Gun Exchange in Sacramento is selling the gun for ~$100 less, so this was the price-match. We get to the counter at the Rocklin Bass Pro today, and after my wife fills out some paperwork with personal information, and the employees behind the counter take copies of her license, vehicle registration, and FSC card, we're told that the store manager would not honor the price match. I asked if he was serious, and the guy behind the counter said yes. I picked up the paperwork off the counter (the personal information paperwork) to take it with me, and the kid behind the counter grabbed it out of my hand and said that I cannot have it. He told me that they have to shred the papers, so I said I would watch; then I was told I cannot go in the back and watch.
I know the lack of my future purchases will not hurt this store's profit margins, and honestly they could probably care less that I am not going to shop at Bass Pro or Cabela's anymore, but I will spend my money at other stores that actually have decent customer service, and honor their obligations to their customers.
Fri october 4th 2019 10: 30am. Very rude cashier.asked where the restroom is at? And the lady was acting like i owed her million $, does this lady knows how much money i spent at this store already? I dont think so. I dont want to give her name out cuz i can easily make her fired but i wish no evil to other people.other times when i bought supplies from this store -most of the times cashiers were not nice to me as they were to others- just cuz i have an accent.please treat other races equally, don't be so biased i spend same $ and even more than most of the visitors here. Thank you
Staff is incompetent when it comes to new California Ammo Background laws. Refused ammo when presented all verifiable legal documents showing residency and Identification pursuant to DOJ requirements. Don't do business with people who infringe 2nd Amendment Rights. Bought a firearm here a few months ago with same documents and even then it was a hassle dealing with the rush you attitude staff and incompetency.
Do business at Sportsman's where they price match and give you an extra %5 off against Bass Pro. Bass Pro also has a store policy of making you wait 11 days instead of 10 required for new firearm purchases.
Will never do business here or Cabelas again!
I'm like a kid in a candy store my wife hates when I go here but I can control myself now kinder she goes and helps me control myself hahaha we both love this store
Sometime you can find cheaper prices but not better service than the Mom and Pop local gun stores who will order the stuff you want that the chain store won't.
I visited the store today to purchase some electronic earmuffs. I was in a rut trying to decide which pair to purchase. I walked up to the firearms counter and was immediately greeted by James. He recommended these earmuffs and answered several questions for me. He was professional and very knowledgeable. I will be returning solely based on his help. Can't wait to try them tomorrow!
UPDATE: it's 5/2019 they still work!
Pretty typical bass pro store, just very surprised with how an employee treated my girlfriend when it came to her trying to shop for her first gun, the gentleman kept suggesting pink or more feminine styled guns in the cases
What a cool store! The shops are decorated appropriately to their environment, love going to a new Bass Pro.
I love to look at the boats, maybe someday I will be able to afford one. It's nice you can climb in them and check them out.
Always love my visit! Purchased some great shirts again! Looked at all the RV vehicles! Just awesome fun going there. Friendly help!
This big boy toy store will keep you entertained. Be prepared to spend time and enjoy the ride.
I was treated horribly when looking at their gun selection. Was interested in buying a pistol for my girlfriend and not only did the guy make us feel unwanted, but he managed to be a smart ass the whole time! Bass pro used to be my go to, but after this i dont think i will be going back for a while
Awesome service! Great products! And good prices! The scenery and theme of the store is 11/10. This store is a true friend to any outdoors person!
They are always overpriced. Even when items are on sale, it can usually be found elsewhere for cheaper. The one positive, if you are in a pinch they will usually have what you are looking for.
Employee behind the gun counter was a little rude to us. I'll go to Sportsman's Warehouse instead. They're less expensive too.
One of the best places to shop if you're into that stuff. If you're not head east towards Reno. There is a lot of good Taxidermy stuff and lots of good guns
Ok, the teller could not find my discount card when I was just there the day before and used it. She had no excuse and didn't do anything to help just said the computer was acting up.
It's a fishing and outdoors shop, you can find a variety of merchandise for somewhat reasonably comparable prices to other sports or recreation stores. There's a huge aquarium and other fun things to look at for the kids. I was here at Christmas time and there was a Santa and all sorts of family activities. Great place for the whole family.
