Baymont by Wyndham Tehachapi reviews
18NOPE! - Dirty pool (like filthy). Super strong cigarette smell in the hallways. Room was worn and smelled of old smoke. Power strip electrocuted my wife when when attempted to plug in her phone charger. Manager would not refund our stay, even though we were only there for 20 minutes and left the room unused. Super lame. - Many other newer options in the local area that are clean and comfy.
I stayed at this hotel recently and it is disgusting. The gym is covered in what looks like drywall dust. The drinking water for the entire hotel is a 5 gallon water dispenser like an office would have. The cafe has a damaged, discolored ceiling above the food. There are holes all over in the drywall. There are open access panels in the ceiling.
I am dissatisfied.
Super clean, And great Customer service. Perfect Place to stay, specially cause The Best Indian Restaurant Bar n Grill is next Door.
Rooms were clean, service and staff great. Breakfast was simple but still good, 20$ per pet. Would come back again 10/10
Bathroom had black mold in the grout, lights were falling out of the ceiling. I was in the handicap room and the floors in the bathroom were so slippery that I had to put all the towels I had down in order to Walk through the bathroom without falling. The elevator had a glue down carpet with a roll in it that I tripped on. There was a spill on the ground that no one cleaned up even after reporting it. Most of the breakfast helpers were fantastic but one elderly lady was very grumpy and rude to my entire family. The front desk was fantastic. Over all I will not be staying here again, even if it has a beautiful entryway.
Cost us twice as much as the night before at a much cleaner and nicer place. Was under construction in part of the entrance. Bed was hard.
Spent a week here, no complaints. There's a few food options right in that general vicinity, and other stores aren't too far.
Clean rooms, comfortable beds.
They have electric vehicle charging stations installed, but they aren't turned on for some reason. Would be incredibly convenient if they were.
I didn't stay there. It was 2 of my kids from the SF Bay Area. We went back to the hotel to kill time before dinner. We were already planning to dine at Prime and were thrilled that it was right nextdoor.
We found the front desk clerk to be very friendly at checkin and I appreciated seeing security camera monitors visible from there. The room was clean and beds were quite comfortable. The shower was spotless and had wonderfully hot water with nice shampoos and such inside. They had construction in the lobby so it did make it slightly difficult to get to our room, but not horrible. The breakfast was okay, but I think the construction was for a new breakfast room so hopefully it will be nicer in the future. We were pleased with our stay and would definitely stay here again.
Clean hotel with a pretty decent complementary breakfast. As of 4/21/2023, they are renovating, but it hasn't been noisy.
No cold water in sink, brushed teeth in bathtub. Filthy room, table between beds didn't have a knob on the drawer. Furniture was ridiculous. Horrible experience!
Did not feel safe as a single traveler. Loud construction ongoing until late at night just outside the rooms in the hotel interior. Was told it would end by six and when it didn’t, front desk staff did not care. Construction workers shouted, drilled, hammered, etc. Was not informed of construction during reservation. Construction workers hung out, talked and argued until late just outside my window. Recommend avoiding this hotel - I would sleep in my car before I’d rebook here.
Room was extremely noisy due to construction until nearly 9pm. They also have a slip of paper at the front that says your room has to be accessible at all times 9am-6pm for construction, so you run the risk of zero privacy. Was not told this during booking.
Has a newer look and feel, no lousy smell. It was a nice tile shower, lots of towels. Perfect lofty pillows, memory foam bed and good in-room amenities. They even honored my particular request for location in the hotel. And the price could not be beat. Close to freeway but you can't hear it I'll be back whenever I drive from Oregon to my daughter's.
Worth it to drive an hour from Bakersfield to this hotel. The last one, if you care to look in my previous review, was absolute trash, and this one is a breath of fresh air! Nice service, clean rooms, I go over hotel rooms with my blacklight and it's good here!
Very nice hotel. Very clean and worth the price. The guy that checked me in was very nice. Plus he knows the local bike trails!
They rented us a filthy room. Bed was already slept in. Swimming pool cracked no water still charged us over 100 customer service skills was poor. Didn't offer discount for unclean room. Unacceptable and unprofessional. Do not stay at this hotel. Not clean. Poorly ran. Never again. Ty lynsey cates Dirty room gave us dirty room. Did not offer discount. Unacceptable customer service
Clean and affordable, and shares a parking lot with the best Indian restaurant we've ever eaten in, and we've eaten Indian food all over the world.
