BBQ House Bar & Grill, San Diego CA

I loved their atmosphere and the buffalo chicken fries. But we found several short hairs inside the food. We had to be very careful when we were eating the food. We didn't complain to the employee there but the chief here gotta be more careful of his hair while cooking. Please watch out for the hair inside the food when visiting this place.

Best wings I've had in California, hands down. I grew up near Buffalo New York and wings have been a staple of my diet and these wings are on par with the best wings I've ever had. The staff is super nice, draft pours are to the max. This cider from Bivouac is amazing. Tried the lemon pepper (favorite, wet rub, on par with every wing I've eaten), garlic Parm (dry rub, would have preferred a buttery garlic sauce but still good), bourbon wings (wet rub, wife's favorite), mango wings (wet rub, very spicy). The cook tonight did an excellent job cooking them perfectly. Don't get wings elsewhere in ocean beach, you'll be disappointed, we tried two others before here.

Food was decent but they have some shady employees! Been trying for 2 day to reach a manger because one of the servers changed my tip amount on my receipt! Dont want to press charges for credit card fraud but they leave me no choice! How a buisness can be run with no management staff at all is absolutely beyond me!

Had dinner there on Mother’s Day with some friends. Since they were out of shredded pork l had the three rib plate. The ribs were 50% fat, 25% bone, and 25% meat. A day later and l still have a stomach ache. The service was good but the ribs were the worst I’ve ever had! Doubt that l will return or recommend to a friend.

Food is good, sauce is one of a kind, I order it on the side. We eat hear every so often. I like the beef ribs, my hubby enjoys the sausage, my 1 and a half year old enjoys the beans.

First time visiting and what they say is true, first impressions are everything. Appalled at the negligence of staff. I ordered a cocktail and it was delivered to the wrong table. It sat at the wrong table for about 4 minutes before it was picked up and moved to my table. I watched the other table swish the drink around with their hands all over the straw. Drink was dropped off at my table quickly, with no eye contact. I was going to wait until the waitress came back, but after about five minutes and no sight of her I went to get it replaced. The drink ended up being free, but passing one alcoholic beverage from one table and taking it to another is absurd. Someone is going to end up getting hurt due to this laziness. Will not return for this reason.

Came here craving some dessert and the ice cream shop didn't have the few flavors I wanted. Cheesecake and s'mores sundae was very satisfying. Service was friendly and will come back for food food.

This is the best BBQ place in San Diego. I would recommend it to any and everyone who wants a place to come back to. Excellent food and nice views for everyone

Abdull/Pops and his team are the best! Super friendly and amazing food, we had salad, carbs and a homemade cheesecake that was bomb. The bbq is also delicious they have been making it in OB for years now. Family and pet friendly, I highly recommend this spot just minutes from the peer and ocean.

Had the trio plate with ribs, chicken and brisket and loved every part of it! Portions were great and the BBQ tasted like mine or even better so I definitely recommend! Haha

One star because of the service. 30 minutes after opening we ordered beers and food asked for limes and the manager said “ I just got here I’m not cutting limes”. 15 minutes later we go back to bar and he says bars not even open yet, while people are being served at the bar. POOR Management but GREAT FOOD. Take it to go, seriously.

I've been coming to this place since they were a tiny hole in the wall, and I can't stop coming back! The food here is great, the employees are always friendly, my only complaint is I wish they had a better selection of stout beers, (but that's a minor complaint) I love it here!

Omg so Amazing! My parents hosted a dinner here on May 21 for all the out of town guests and family that flew in for our wedding. We had our own little area on the patio, the service was great and the food delicious! Everyone was raving how yummy it was, we had it set up buffet style which was perfect and the cheesecake you must get! Brynna was so easy to work with and worked with us to make it just what we wanted! Special shout out also to the chef for making all the yummy food!

Seating outside is awesome. Food was delicious and the staff was friendly. Wings were on point, partner had the bacon and bourbon burger. Good drinks. Will be back for sure. Patio is also dog friendly so the whole family can enjoy!

Indoor dining now available, food and service was excellent. There was very little wait time when we were there yesterday

First time having it, beef ribs was a little red but worst part was that I literally took 6 small bites off each bone (2) and it was finished, I.e. Barely any meat for 17$. Phil’s has way better portions. Sorry for bad review but I feel ripped off. Fries are awesome tho.
