Hotel Beach Haven reviews
16Great little spot, right by the beach. I had a late arrival which the hotel staff easily accommodated. Everyone was very friendly, the room was very nice. Would definitely stay again.
Horrible. Ran by low IQ Karen's. Staff constantly harassed me and my children. Plumbing smelled like sewer. Rooms extremely dirty. Hidden mold covered in paint. Was told I had to pay 250.00 dollars for talking too loud in the pool area even though there was no agreement about that and it was the middle of the day. This place is dumb and confused and doesn't't know if its an airbnb or a hotel.
No elevator lm handicapped and they couldn't make allowance at all parking is bad, Slot of street noises
Beach Haven has the location right in the heart of Pacific Beach. They were decently easy to work with as I had an error on my booking and they moved it within a day. My one main concern was the toliet was in desperate need of an update as it kept backfilling all night
Walking distance from everything! Do not stay in Room 216! Plumbing problems upstairs. The location is a minute away from the beach and great restaurants. The service was not so great. Our shower had plumbing issues. The front desk employee sarcastically commented that we can shower at the pool showers. After spending the entire day at the beach and ready for a shower, we had to wipe down in the bathroom sink. We asked if we can cancel or get a discount for the inconvenience on our wedding anniversary weekend or even come back another day. We were denied all 3 suggestions. I emailed the manager and have yet to receive a response or phone call. Very unprofessional. Having a bottle of Drano would be logical.
FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY! I’ve stayed at beach haven a few times, this stay by far was the worst and we will not be returning anytime soon. Paid over $1300 in advance for the junior suite which is nothing more than a small box with a two foot fridge and a stove that struggles to cook anything. The walls are paper thin and we literally heard the man next to us snoring our entire stay. The family above us had small children who stomped and slammed the door repeatedly for hours on end and when I told management they said they would tell the family to stop but they didn’t. I requested early check in but was repeatedly told my room was not ready and was finally able to get my room at 3 pm. It was disappointing to see other people who hadn’t prepaid get their rooms quicker than me. For over $1300 you can find somewhere nicer to stay.
My family and I love the fact that everything was within walking distance. The room was super cute. We will definitely be back.
Very nice place with an excellent staff. You pay a bit more for use of a kitchen and it is very clean. Right around the corner from the beach. A great stay!
Big rooms.
Very accommodating for luggage storage, before and after check in.
I would return.
You CANNOT beat the location of this hotel! Steps from the beach and steps from Garnet (where all the fun action is). Nice and clean rooms plus a pool and hot tub (in case you're over the beach!) Highly recommend staying here on any vacay to San Diego!
2 stars for decent location short walk to Mission beach and free parking.the room without kitchen we booked we got upstairs as requested but the room is small with only small fridge and tv.nothing else would be nice to have coffee maker.especially we paid almost $200. (don't book too early as we did.the price was much higher than booking closed to the day you would stay), this place is very thin wall not for light sleeper.you hear your neighbors and everything outside and outside traffic constantly, I was unable to sleep at all for 2 nights.the view.can see homeless guy's sleeping and several dumpsters and car parks. Not sure how other reviews gave 5 stars?
My wife and I loved this hotel! Great location, very secure, wonderful amenities, and friendly staff. Removed a star for the faulty internet and man snoring in the room above us. Would definitely stay again.
The service was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Thank you. Location was a problem, like everywhere in California. Somehow we need to help these people? Great proximity to the beach and so many restaurants.
The hotel is too loud on the week days, lots of traffic and construction noise in the early morning. There is zero sound proofs, you can hear next room very clearly, hard to get any sleep.
Had a very pleasant stay here. Can’t beat the value for around $120 per night. The bed was very comfortable and the location was outstanding.
Removing one star because the Wi-Fi was fairly unreliable (luckily I was able to use my 5G phone as a solid hotspot)
