Restaurant Beachwood Cafe reviews
17The owner needs to read Setting the Table by Danny Meyer. Food is good but not exceptional. The few times I've been there, alone and with a book, I've been rushed to leave with my bill being brought before I'm done eating, and without even being asking if I'd like to order something else. It's happened Every. Single. Time. The last 2 (of 3) times, I sat at the bar so I wouldn't take up space and I was STILL rushed.
This was our second time at Beachwood Cafe. We simply love the atmosphere and the food quality. It is fast, fresh, and delicious.
Very yummy! Service was a bit slow and they nickel and dimed us for the sauces that the servers asked us if we wanted (. 75 each)
Smoked Salmon Benedict was good, with a side of potatoes. I recommend reservations as the wait for a table is up to an hour or longer. The bar seating has hooks for bag/layers. Service was really good despite how busy they were. The vibe was bustling at brunch so not quite a chill and relaxing atmosphere.
Amazing food! The scrambled eggs were amazing. Highly recommend this cute cafe! The drive up there is amazing. Can't help but fall back in time to the golden Hollywoodland. I got the stuffed french toast 2 by 2 with chicken sausage and a latte
Waiter named Blake was amazing. I have had a very bad day, I was crying bitterly sitting there by the table and just couldn't stop. My tears were like a waterfall.
But Blake handled me with such warmth, care and humanity. He gave me a glass of water and even a piece of cake on the house. I love you, Blake, you are such a beautiful human being!
Overall atmosphere of the place was very cozy and welcoming. The food was great as well. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.
I am a refugee from Ukraine. Thank you, dear Americans, for your support! ️
4.5. Great food. Great ambiance. Worth the wait. Wait list QR code is a great system. Close to the Hollywood sign. Workers r great. Second time here. Would go back again.
Horrible experience! This cafe is extremely racist. Throughout my entire visit I felt eyes and judgement from almost everyone. Our waitress, Jaya, had the nerve to tell us that we could go to McDonald's if we wanted a cheaper burger. She also blatantly ignored me every time she approached the table and instead, chose to speak to my white-passing girlfriend. They also intentionally made my burger wrong in hopes that it would topple over. They put the avocado and tomato on the bottom, despite several pictures on their Instagram that depict burgers made the right way.
Just amazing food, amazing stuff! Great stop for lunch after hiking to Hollywood sign in the morning? Fiesta bowl was amazing! Portion sooo big! Fresh juice delicious, and great Cappuccino!
The lunch and dinner here have been fantastic every visit. Best latte I think I have ever had. Super cute place. I love that it’s not all matchy matchy. It’s just got a cool vibe. Weekend lunches it gets super crowded especially if it’s when Harry Styles is playing locally.can be a little pricey for sides, Panko fries were $10.
The only food I didn’t like was the lime tart slice I think it was called, everything else has been great each visit.
Nice little restaurant in the hills of Hollywood. Service was awesome. The wait staff was very good. I just wish it was more food options. Besides that, everything was awesome.
Harry, you're no good alone.without a croissant from Beachwood Cafe
Also, I have it on good authority that the coffee is out of stock very often, so you might want to address that
Nice staff, great food & service. Of course I went because of Harry’s song but it was still a neat place! I highly recommend.
Delicious and hidden little cafe in the hollywood area of LA.adorable and well decorated with the kindest staff ever.this place is one of a kind and truly has the best food in the area
The people working here were extremely rude. Was waiting to order to go, and the people be-hide us was greeted first and we were completely ignored for at least 5min not even being acknowledged once! Not even with a smile! Please teach your staff to be decent humans and have respect not only for the people they are helping but for themselves and the company.
Food was good, atmosphere is great, but service was a bit questionable. For a place that puts a limit on how long you can stay there for, it seemed like they really took their time on getting our payment so that my brother and I could leave. And to top it off, tried to bait and switch us with someone else’s bill of over $250 when our order was less than $50. We ordered 4 items but the receipt they gave us back to sign was 2 pages long. The tax alone would’ve been our total cost. They insisted it was ours but we’re definitely not signing off on that. So they were scrambling to figure out what happened to our original receipt. Eventually got it settled though and they just re-made our ticket. Hopefully it was just a mishap; their attitude was understandable since they would have to pocket whoever else messed up and got dine-dashed for such a large amount. Overall a good experience, just make sure to double check your receipt!
Update: they ended up double charging us anyway for a total of $300 and my brother had to dispute it.
We loved our brunch experience at the Beachwood Cafe - our server (might have have been the owner) was very charismatic and caring throughout our time there.
The food and drinks was excellent, the sausage was easily my favorite part of the breakfast, though the eggs and pancakes were also exquisite.
There was one worker by the coffee area was a tad rude when we asked if it would be possible to get a candle on a dessert for a birthday, but our server helped us make it happen - the rest of the experience was a 10/10.
We look forward to going back to Beachwood Cafe on our next visit, this was easily my favorite breakfast/brunch place
