Bear Claw Bakery, Pine Mountain Club CA

This bakery is one of the reasons we enjoy visiting Pine Mountain Club so much… Bear Claw is a small, family run business and the owners really go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your visit. All the food is baked fresh each day and the drinks are great… on this trip we’ve had the coffee, hot chocolate, apple cider, empanadas, pastries (the bear claws!), pizza, soup and sandwiches — and it’s all amazing. Thanks Jorge and Rosie!

The couple running this cafe are such wonderful people. My GF and I went there to enjoy a nice short getaway from the Hussle and bustle of the valley, we were met with smiles and double handshakes. Turns out we were both from the same general area, which was nice to hear. They had wonderful pastries and strong great coffees. It's always a good time to meet people who truly love their job/business, you can taste it in their products. Grab a coffee and pastry, sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. It's so beautiful. Thank you both for the wonderful service and the welcoming smiles. Can't wait to come by again to see you guys.

We have come to the Bear Claw a few times now this year, as their bakery items are so great, and they are very friendly there! Tomorrow we will go up to Pine Mountain from Bakersfield, as its only 50 min or so, and we will say hi to George, one of the owners, who is very nice and caring! So delicious! We tried the empanadas, bear claw, cinnamon roll and the turnovers. They were all soooo good. We are so sad we don’t live in the area to enjoy them more often? We will definitely come back to the bakery the next time we come through town.

Absolutely the best bakery in the area! They make incredible bearclaws, fruit turnovers, muffins and other wonderful pastries. My favorite is the sandwiches made on fresh croissants…. Delicious! George and Rosie are wonderful owners and go above and beyond to make their customers happy.

Get a bear claw. Get TWO. Stopped for a coffee and a baked good before hiking Mt Pinos. Excellent.
