I’m current a patient at this dentist office in the ortho department. There are a few things that I’ve noticed throughout my treatment that were off about this location. I’m paying a high amount for my braces but services that are supposed to be included are not. Their café, daycare, and theater has been “out of order” for a while. Most importantly they informed me that I would have to start vising their Long Beach and Cypress location because their roof caved in during Hurricane Hilary. I chose Bellflower because it was the closest to me and now, I must drive further for my future appointments which isn’t okay. I also came to find out that the real issue for them having their patients go to different offices is because they do not want to pay their Bellflower ortho employees. I truly feel that is unfair because that staff has always treated me kindly and made me feel comfortable. I cannot believe that this office is lying and mistreating not only their employees but mainly their customers. As I mentioned, I’m paying a high amount and should be provided with the best experience. This whole situation is incredibly unbelievable!

This is my first of 2 reviews. Bad first, then good after. I had to do a procedure with Dr. Smokin, and it was one of the most difficult and uncomfortable procedures I can ever remember. I have SEVERE anxiety when it comes to the dentist, and I worked with Dr. Tsibel to take anti-anxiety medication for my procedure. I took one pill upon arrival and was instructed to take another one just before the start of my procedure. I went to take the second one when Dr. Smokin told me in a condescending tone that it would not start working until after he had finished. I told him I still wanted to take it. That is how I have done it before, and it worked fine, why change up now, right? He then threatened me that he wouldn't do the procedure if I took my other pill! Just for context, I HAVE MY LICENSE IN PHARMACY! I know how medication works, but he was absolutely convinced that he knew more then me. I was essentially cornered because I had to get the procedure done, so I just tried to muscle my way through it. I regret not standing my ground. 30 minutes later, I was crying, shaking, and having a panic attack, and this man stops half way through and has the nerve to ask me if I want to stop and come back a different day! No! You cant stop half way through and leave me with an open tooth! Then, when we are finally done, he asked me about antibiotics, and I tell him that I can take Keflex despite it being in my chart about a same class drug allergy, and all of a sudden he believes me. I asked his assistant (with a nose piercing) about my prescription, and she looks at me and says "the doctor does not prescribe anything stronger than Ibuprophen 800mg for pain, so don't ask. " Like I am some kind of a drug seeking addict! The nerve and cheek of that little girl pissed me off so much. I told her, no, I am asking about the antibiotic, not in a nice tone, I admit. She told me it would be sent to the pharmacy on file. I still have Tylenol #3 from my last procedure that I still haven't used, but how can she know that when she just assumes I am a druggie. Hands down the worst specialist I have ever had the displeasure of being around, and his assistant was just as bad. I really considered finding another office after that experience, but I decided to stay. If you would like to know why, see my next review. Think twice before going to Dr. Smokin though. He might try to leave your procedure half finished and treat you like a second class piece of trash, like he did me.

This is the second of 2 reviews. My main providers are Dr. Tsibel and Dr. Josephs. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and amazing both doctors are. They are kind, understanding, and listen to me as a patient. I have been coming to this office for about the past decade, and they are the best providers that I have ever had the pleasure of being treated by. I have SEVERE anxiety when it comes to the dentist, and the gas does not work on me (found that out after a particularly painful root canal.) Dr. Tsibel worked with me to provide medication for my treatments, and Dr. Josephs always talks about books and recommends new things for me to read every time I speak to him. His gentle, kind, and caring attitude has helped me build so much trust in this office and in their care for my teeth. It is to the point that I am more relaxed and comfortable with them than I have ever been at the dentists' office. Special shout out to Manny and Pam for being kind, straightforward, and understanding while helping me as well. I can honestly say that I would not have all of my teeth right now if not for all of them. I have had many truly great interactions with them that it is hard to pick just one, but if you have read this far, please give them a chance (and only them, not the other provider listed above). They are the top tier of providers!

0/5 I was told my daughter needed to be seen at a different time due to Construction which I understood then the construction was going to be longer so therefore I was asked for her to be seen by there sister office on longbeach. I was flexible enough to agree, then they called me a day before to reschedule again because apparently they double booked. Note my daughter is 4 and will be without food or water 4 hours prior. Then they said she can be seen but, it will be a long wait I couldn't have her wait that long without eating. Not to mention I had to put in a request at work to get off early and made arrangements for her to get picked up from school early, just to make it to said appointment on time. That will no longer take place. Because I will be moving her Dentist. Very disorganized and just a complete mess not to mention I kept getting placed on hold and a new person would answer each time. Just Horrible Receptionist workers. What a shame.

This dentist is wonderful. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, compassionate, patient, etc. I can go on. However I have to give it up to Dr. Kim. Thank you for making my dental experience better. The entire office treat me with a lot of TLC.

The office personnel and hygienists were very thoughtful and very helpful. I have an appointment with Dr. Smaulkin who will be doing a root canal on one of my teeth. Root canals are his specialty.

Dr. Sammy has such a great spirit and a fabulous sense of humor, which has helped me out so much in controlling my anxiety so I can get my dental work done. He is such an asset to the practice.

Dr. Sammy’s assistant Katrina is so sweet and has excellent bedside manners. They work so well together professionally.
Katrina is such a hard worker and she always makes me feel so welcomed and safe.

I recently visited Bellflower Dental. It was the best dental experience I ever had. I was fitted for a lower partial with 2 teeth extractions and a prep for a crown. The injections were completely painless. The staff were very friendly, professional and extremely efficient. They calmed my fears as I was very nervous. I would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone I know. I have since had to have all my teeth removed and received dentures they are very gentle caring and have helped with the price and payments very friendly staff Great doctors

They are more concerned with getting the most out of the insurance company than with offering a better treatment to the patient. There are many hours waiting for the turn to receive just one exam and they don't even consult the results of the exam, they have to make another appointment to obtain the results of the exam and in extreme cases when the patient needs treatment soon they slow it down even more.
They are only interested in getting money from Insurance, the well-being of the patient is in third or fourth place.
EYE! Be careful because before receiving any treatment they make you sign a document where you waive your constitutional rights, that is to say that if they make a mistake of negligence, due to dental malpractice they are not responsible

The only reason why I gave you guys 3 stars is my appointment was at 2: 30 and didn’t get seen till a little after 3: 30 and that is after I walked up asking why the long wait time. I spent 2.5 hours just for X-rays and consultation. It took way too long. I’ve been at the place when it was Dr. Wylan and I’ve never waited this long to be seen. Dr. Sam I believe was his name, great DR as well as the staff, but the wait time is brutal.

All I’m going to say is let’s not forget where we come from. If it wasn’t for your customer you wouldn’t be in business. Sometime it’s ok to HELP your neighbor because you never know when you’ll need help

Was seen 2.5 hours after arrival for a scheduled consultation appointment. Communication with staff was poor and still awaiting follow up regarding the consultation. Direct patient care was the only positive experience. However, due to experience with the front desk/clerical staff would not recommend/consider returning.
