French Restaurant Bell's reviews
14Everything about this place is absolutely fabulous! Great service, food and atmosphere. Can't go wrong dining here
Only other time I was here, was for dinner and the food was even more incredible which is the only reason I'm giving that section a 4/5 starts. Highly recommended for any meal.
Excellent service and beautifully put together bristo pieces. You're gonna get the beef cheek sandwich - soft bread and salty, tart and sweet filling. Onion soup isn't messy around either.
This place has a gravity all its own. Worth the trek out to Los Alamos. Check out Predite BBQ on the weekends if you want to keep the fun times rolling
Food and staff impeccable. 10/10 - you must go! One of the best meals I’ve had in years.
Outstanding wine list, flawless food, beautiful setting and truly awesome staff. Could not recommended more
Visited in 2017:
I had a great experience at this establishment, the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He greeted us with a complimentary glass of wine upon arrival. The sandwiches we ordered were delicious. I highly recommend visiting this location and getting to know the wonderful staff. I will definitely be returning in the future.
We had a lovely lunch al fresco with a group of 8. The staff was very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Our group had the beef cheek sandwich and egg salad sandwich along with other offerings. Everyone was very happy with their meals!
Is there a better word for exceptional? Bell's was a very impressive experience. We were touring the area and I had found out about Bell's online and decided to give it a shot. I didn't know much about the restaurant or Los Alamos. But let me tell you - our experience was A+ from booking the reservation, to being greeted, to the food, wine and ambience and service.
We got the Caviar Pancake, Bells Salad and some local wines. The Caviar Pancake was really really good and something unique you don't see often on menus. BUT THE BELLS SALAD! Please order this. The salad was as if someone plucked all the ingredients behind the restaurant. It was so fresh and full of flavor. The mixture of ingredients was as best as it gets for a fresh garden salad.
The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. We felt as if we were being served in a cozy living room. Very home-y and relaxed environment. Loved it!
Reservations suggested for lunch or dinner. This beautiful salad was the freshest I've found anywhere on the Central Coast with steak added on the side. The Jasmine Hot Tea was a treat on a rainy afternoon, and served with style.
Bell's is the best restaurant in Southern California, bar none.
We've been following this cozy little establishment for a while now and have been lucky to dine here on multiple occasions for several years, each of those times being absolutely magical.
There can't be enough praise said to how Greg and Daisy choose to run this place—from working with the best local farmers and providers, to growing what feels like a true family of kind, caring, professional and most welcoming employees, to conceptualizing and successfully launching multiple offshoots, each one curious and unique in its own way (with special mention going to Feed the Valley), to meticulously curating the most memorable menus based on what's in season and—most importantly—what's close to Daisy's heart, to at the same time staying true to some of the most unexpected yet brilliant staples like the simple Gateau Breton (that I would sell my kidney for if needed) —every single detail about this place is exactly what it needs to be, everything is thoughtfully considered, everything is real and honest, everything is so effortlessly right, yet stays human and without even a shadow of the pretentious posh and gloss that often comes with fine dining. And while still pushing the envelope in this very same fine dining category, Bell's sets the bar to how you create an inviting place with the laser-sharp focus on ingredients, the sense of place and the community around it.
When you sink your teeth through the crispy, buttered toast, the light tomatoe smear, and the soft, textured egg layer of Bell’s egg salad sandwich, you begin to realize you aren’t eating an ordinary sandwich. And only once you crunch into a perfectly sweet and tart pickle chip will you realize this is one of the simplest meals you’ve ever had that somehow delivers one of the most pleasing, balanced combination of flavors. I can’t wait to try their dinner menu.
Absolutely fantastic. Great atmosphere. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Succinct and refined menu. Fries were cooked perfectly - crisp on the outside and tender in the middle. I had the braised beef cheek sandwich. Bread was crisp and soft (like the fries). Meat was shredded and flavorful (reminded me of barbacoa). Sandwich does not look large when it arrives but it is quite filling. It was not inexpensive but was definitely worth the money. Fries and sandwich were about $27 with tip
Such a cool place to eat in a quaint wine country town. So glad I was given this recommendation by someone who knew about it. I will definitely share this spot with others I know who appreciate the tastier things in life!
My first Michelin star restaurant in Cali! Superb service, creativity, and quality. Even for Monday lunch, the restaurant was popular! Must order the mussels and tartine.bonus: Butter cake for our bday celebration!
