Benicia Historical Museum reviews
6There was an event today advertising a main lobster food truck and music, i just wanted to get the food and that was it. Arrived and apparently you needed to purchase a concert ticket which was not mentioned on the Facebook event. I started talking to one of the ladies at the front and she said when the event started then maybe I could but the 2nd one came up while I was talking to the 1st and said can't come in without a ticket, this is a fundraiser. I then showed her the event on the Facebook page in hopes to just get the food and leave but in middiscussion she went to the next person in line and ignored me. I felt so ignored and disrespected. If you told me no that would be ok and respected but just ignoring me like I am no one really hurt my feelings. I remember the people being so nice here when I was getting married here but I guess they only recognize you if you are paying them. I have never ever in my life been treated like that. I even told the two ladies before leaving since I am being ignored I am writing a review I hope you have a good day. They responded ok. So rude.
This is one of those under the radar museums that is a must-see. It's truly incredible how much American history is in this little town of Benicia. This Museum has artifacts dating back to the Native Americans, the civil war, and Benicia's place in World War 2. Trust me, you'll learn a lot and come away very impressed!
For a small town they sure have a well organized museum.great exhibits and the staff are very knowledgeable
Awesome place to learn Benicia's history. Very nice & passionate volunteers. This wouldn't run without them.
So glad that this museum is here. Any visitor to Benicia should make a point of stopping here. The displays are very well done. FYI.be sure to check the podcasts.

This is a wonderful space. The volunteers are very knowledgeable about local history and there are many fascinating artifacts exhibited throughout this charming museum. A must see for any local or visitor to the area. What a great way to spend part of your day. Come explore the beautiful garden area while you are there too. It is a perfect place for a picnic.
