Within a minute, he diagnosed the problem, offered solutions and gave a thorough description of services and recommendation on next steps on his invoice. When we recently experienced a gas leak at our nearly 100-year old home, we had first called our usual go-to guy (one of the big guys with the most aired TV commercials) and turned out their quote was astronomically high and also very murky/intransparent and it almost felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on us, so we decided to call around for alternative quotes.

Michael, the owner of Benoist Drains & Plumbing (super nice guy) promptly came out to do an assessment and his quote was extremely reasonable in comparison with the others, plus he clearly laid out the scope of work highlighting what we‘re paying for in advance.

Michael then sent a two-man crew who came out timely and as promised the very next day and they repiped our entire gas system in a matter of only two days (the others had quoted 3 days of work for the same job.

Benoist Drains & Plumbing did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. Their quality work passed the pressurizing system imposed by the City of San Diego with flying colors when they came out to test it.

Needless to say that Benoist Drains & Plumbing is now our new go-to plumbing company and we strongly recommend you call them first.

I had called a well known company to snake a drain. They failed to clear my drain, but didn’t charge me. But it seemed to me that they were more interested in “upselling” me to a much more expensive process to solve my problem. Michael Benoist sent out two workmen that were confident there were very few clogs they couldn’t clear. And they proceeded to do so in a short order. It was done in a professional “matter of fact” manner to my great satisfaction. The charge for their time was reasonable considering the inconvenient situation and quandary the first workmen left me in.

I've used Mike on a number of plumbing jobs and can confidentially say I've never had a more reliable plumber who knows what they are doing. I've had him fix small issues such as a running toilet tank to a big job where he fixed a water pressure issue in our shower which involved a lot of time and effort. Michael made himself available in a pinch (on a Sunday / when I was under time pressure) for a leak in my washing machine.
