Bens Bikes, Thousand Oaks CA

Ben is a crook he stole a piece from my watch and held me hostage in his shop because he was on drugs thinking I stole his wallet. I bought a bike 3x the price of msrp and over priced me parts on said bike.thought he was cool and a good honest business man but turns out exact opposite.this is nothing more than an opinion and a experience from a old client/so called friend to him. I regret giving him any good recommendation I have done in the past.stay away from this shop he is a snake oil salesman

Horrible! Thief! Stripes bikes, blocks your number. Had to have the police escort us in to collect the bike after ben had it for 7 months. He was in rehab so we weren’t able to confront him. We rolled two bikes in there 7 months ago for small repairs and walked out with a Tupperware of parts. We even had to take some of our parts off the wall displays. They were for sale! Batteries have been tampered with. Hot glue all over them. Most parts have serial number scratched off. It’s absolutely mind boggling. My son is devastated.

Accidentally sold me the wrong throttle, came back and they replaced it and threw in a free tire.

Ben’s bikes took two of our fully built e bikes and swapped out thousands of dollars in parts for stock parts. Over a period of 5 months and refusing to give the bike and parts back we are now contacting local police to file a report. DO NOT USE BENS BIKES, this guy is on drugs and stealing peoples parts! Stay away or risk theft of your hard earned stuff!

Took my sons Super 73 - 2 1/2 months ago. He had a bent back wheel rim that needed replacement. No call back from Bens Bike so husband goes into their shop. Nothing was done and they switch out my sons back new tire with a worn down and Ben is saying it was the original tire and wants the bike out of his shop. He says he typically works with $12,000 e bikes. The throttle is broken but was perfectly fine when it when in. See the back tire and my front tire do not look the same. Front tire looked just like the back tire when it went in the shop. Was replaced a year ago. Then Ben has the nerve to say he won’t charge me when nothing was fixed and my super 73 came out worse and more damaged then when it went in. SMH …

Needed help with my son’s Surron wheel, Ben and team were awesome getting it taken care of lightning fast… great team and shop, will be back for all future needs!

Owner is super nice, I always have small dumb questions that they don’t hesitate to answer. Wouldn’t go anywhere else with my e bike, thank you guys!

Came here for a peg bracket and some bolts for my Surron Ebike, I had never been here or met Ben before this, but he got both of my parts in 1 day and did not even allow me to pay. Greatly appreciate his kindness and will definitely be coming back and bringing much more customers to his shop.

Such a terrible experience with this e-bike rental shop. I would not recommend taking your bike here. The staff seemed more interested in joy riding a friends bike than actually fixing it. They blocked his number too! When he finally got his bike back, it was in terrible condition with scratches and dents all over it. Save yourself the trouble and STAY FAR AWAY from this shop.

I got referred to Ben’s bike by a riding buddy of mine and I’m so happy I did. They are really close to me and extremely knowledgeable. I went in and asked all sorts of questions about different upgrades that I wanted to make for my Surron and they were super patient and helpful. They even hooked me up with a part when I broke mine. I highly recommend this place for any Surron needs and I can’t wait to have them upgrade mine to the BAC 4000. GO TO BENS BIKES:)

Great shop! Ben, Brian, and Dimitrious are all great guys who clearly know what they are doing. Dropped off my dads bike and Brian immediately started to work on it. Great service, communication, and assortment of bikes in stock! Definitely recommend this shop.

I use my bike to commute to work. I picked up a nail on my way home and needed a patch kit. Got to Bens Bikes as they were locking the door, but they ran back in and grabbed a patch kit for me. Above and beyond service, definitely will be back.
