Berkeley BART Bike Station

Love this place, 10% off with great stock of everything from hiking shoes to snow pants. I actually like this place more than REI because I feel like the prices are more reasonable and the service is great. I also love the free community classes they offer. I was able to take a yoga class here and really enjoyed it. I love the community feel of Sports Basement and have always had a great experience no matter what I buy.

Did I mention they allow dogs in the store unlike REI?

In spring 2019 we rent our bicycles there for a whole week. The price was really fair. He offered us a discount. Staff there is very nice and helpful. Highly recommendation!

Had some minor repairs done on my bike. Tech seemed genuinely enthusiastic to work on my bike, called and left a detailed message when it was done, and the price was very reasonable.

Friendly, helpful, quick fix for a part that broke. Tons of bike parking available at their new location.

The staff was really unhelpful. I couldn't get a straight answer to my questions and didn't really feel like they were interested in helping

So I’m only interested in the women mechanics who work here otherwise I hardly ride my bike and if it’s broken I’m pretty sure I could fix it myself but it makes sense for me to come and look anyways because I’m always got my eyes open wherever I am and this is likely the busy place considering all the people that commute so it’s perfect for me!

They’ve moved to a new location, now on Center Street and the staff is amazingly friendly and nice. Seriously, it’s like these people love their job️. Just an all around helpful and awesome part of the community. AND now there’s a coffee and pastry shop inside, just so perfect!

A great place to park your bike when it is raining. Inexpensive parts, friendly staff and free bike pump.

Great people, friendly and competent. I rather bring my bike here for special repairs I cannot do myself than anywhere else. That way I hope to support as well the free valet service and parking they offer: a valuable service for the community. Hopefully you will do the same.

Free bike parking and very reasonable rates on repairs. I've been going here off and on for about 6 months now. The attitudes change depending on who is working, but they've always been respectful - sometimes a bit bored and callous. To the people who say they're rude.they see hundreds of people every day! You can't expect them to be best friends with everyone who walks in the door.
