Bernardo Mountain Summit Trail - Access Road reviews
7Great place to hike or bike. Great views. The trails are kept in great shape. Make sure you bring plenty of water.
Love this trail, so hidden. But close to freeway. Was amazed so much nature close to thr mall
Great hike and easy access! 1.5 miles from I 15. Beautiful views Not crowded.
Nice walking ️ Great views. Bit rocky and loose dirt.wear good hiking shoes.it helps alot.especially going down.
Over a mile before freeway noise dies down, so an annoying start from Sunset. Lots of parking, though. Plenty of walking available around the reservoir, and it's very nice once you're past the freeway. Lots of cyclists.
It's about a 5 mile round trip but well worth it for the spectacular views of Lake Hodges and the surrounding areas. If the air is clear, you can also see the ocean. Flowers in the spring. No shade anywhere so in the summer plan accordingly.
Overall it’s a fun and not too difficult place to hike or mountain bike. The first bit of the trail is paved and near the freeway, but after a while it changes to a dirt path and the sound of cars goes away.
There are several different trails to go on, depending on how far you’d like to go. There are tables and benches along some parts of the trail, making it easy to take a break or have a picnic. There trail was also kept fairly clean.
