Figured out my derailleur issue immediately even though he was busy. I would absolutely trust him with anything else and you should too!

Every part you need and more. Went to get replacement shifter, got that and cool little bike light. All reasonably priced and friendly helpful staff

The hardware to adjust my bike seat was stripped, wanted to replace it and possibly get an overall tune-up. They didn't carry the piece, scoffed at my wanting a tune-up stating "maybe in a month or three", and sent me on my way empty handed. Stopped by the hardware store across the street - they pulled out the stripped hardware, replaced it, sold me the matching tool for $2, and were super nice throughout.

Bernie's is the quintessential OBcean bike shop. Jammed to the limit with necessities and goodies; which is nothing compared to the service and expertise of the worker bees. You rock!

Fixed my flat tire in less than 10 minutes for only $5 with my own tube that I brought. The place is rather disorganized and hard to walk around in.

I've been a road and mountain cyclist for many years, and I have been to bike shops all over San Diego. Bernie's is by far my favorite - friendly, fast and fairly-priced.

Ive been coming here since the early 90s. The ppl are the same the service the same and I leave the same way today as Id leave in the 1st years, VERY HAPPY! From my days in college, I'd have to bring my bike in every 6 months, always scared itd cost me a fortune, but always happy to hear the actual cost. I druve past dozens of shops to bring my bike here and will continue to do just that.

Very busy but did a great job at a fair price! The bicycle shops in PB wouldn't even try! They just wanted to be a retail bicycle shops! All my bicycle work now goes to OB!

Best bike shop in San Diego. Let me tell you why

I needed both bike tires replaced. Yasuko told me it would be $60. However when she took a look she said that it only a small leak and a sealant would suffice. She only charged be $13. That level of honesty is hard to come by.

Both Roger and Yasuko are great! This place is unbeatable. I will never go anywhere else

Did two separate repairs for me. Very honest and professional. Quick turnaround too. Not a motorcycle dealer though! Not sure why the listing says that

Advertised Hours INNCORECT! Online at currently displays that the shop closes at 6 PM when they do not stay open that late be advised they close at 5 PM.

Great local bike shop! I highly recommend the shop to fix your bike, purchase a new one or get necessary accessories. Adult and children items available.

Mostly great Service and Prices, however, they have a tendency to overinflate tires. I'm not the only one on this. While waiting on two separate occasions, two other customers complained that Bernies did something to cause their tires to pop just after leaving. I then left and three hours later my tire burst! (Not puncture, BURST!) Thats overinflation.

Doublecheck all other work too, cus they sometimes miss a few things!

Lastly, their shop could use a little organizing and tidying. Maybe that costs too much labor, but a few hours of organizing displays would do a lot of good for everyone.

This shop has the potential to be a Top Rated Shop if they'd just apply a little more care and effort.

Roger is the best. Just bought a bruiser beach cruiser for a better price then anything on the net. I go way back when Bernie sold the business to roger. Used to be located on Voltaire st. Thanks Roger.
