Best Bar-BQ, Santa Paula CA

Not bad. Awesome service, good food. Ribs didn't have much meat and chicken was a little bland, but just add some sauce and it's very good. The potato salad is probably the best I've ever had and the macaroni salad was just as good. Beans were OK and the spicy BBQ sauce had a very nice kick to it. Oh, don't forget dessert! You won't regret it.
As far as the staff and atmosphere, the guys and lady working there were super chill and very welcoming. I almost felt like family right away. I would definitely go back again if I'm ever in town.

I gave this place 5 stars because EVERYTHING I had was REALLY GOOD. Here's my reasoning. Some restaurants may have a few items that are great, a few that are pretty good and a few that you will never order again. I had the tri-tip and it was sliced thin, exactly how I like it. I asked for hot sauce and the young man at the counter asked, "Have you eaten here before? " He suggested a 50/50 combination of their regular and hot sauces and it was perfect for me. There are dozens, probably hundreds, of recipes for baked beans. The same is true for potato salad. After trying these items at some places, I've asked myself, "What were they thinking? " When I tried Best's beans I thought, "Oh, yeah, they got these right! " The potato salad was equally good, it reminded me of my mom's. Judging from others' reviews, it's hard to go wrong, no matter what you order. I would have to agree. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

1st time going and tasting the food, it was awesome all well done and the tasty was great staff and owners there to greet you, great food and affordable.

The best BBQ I had in a long time and I highly recommend trying them out when you have a chance.

Really good BBQ! I like the bowl with rice options. I got the hot links bowl with veggies, others got the tri-tip bowl with beans, and my husband got a tri-tip sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their food. My vegetables were cooked great instead of under of overcooked. The hot sauce was no joke on being hot! My only caveat was the garlic bread wasn't as garlicky as I would have liked. You also get big portions for the price!

This is the best bbq around hands down #1 anyone I show this to from Ventura is always coming to town just for this! My dad say the sauce reminds him of somewhere he used to got when he was younger. It's a must try

We love this place! I was a Ventura resident for 18 years and had a favorite bbq spot, but then it was just gone! Then one day a friend told me about a place in Santa Paula that had the same deliciousness that we had been missing for years. The name Best bbq is an appropriate title! Because in my experience, it truly is! So much so, we drive down from Pismo Beach area at least once or twice a month. And today was no different! Yummy-licious!

So dry with no flavor and you guys calling this a “side” is a joke. It’s a sampler at best. Would not recommend to come here.

I got off the frwy and saw smoke and turned left bc my nose drove the car to this place! I got the 2 meat combo dinner w/ tri tip and beef ribs. Sooo good. Bbq beans are bomb! Love this place. I drive from Simi Valley to Fillmore to get this!

Just off the 126 is where you need to be. Tri-Tip was perfect. Best BBQ I’ve had since leaving Texas.

Update 4/29/23 good and only BBQ in town. Call to place order numerous times never answer always busy like off the hook. Should take their Frikin number off of website and disconnect business phone. Can't customize on line orders. Hopefully new BBQ place opens soon in town. Easier to drive to Ventura to get BBQ than waste time trying to call.

Very Friendly Staff. Bbq is delicious. I've had the Bbq Bowls, sandwiches, and dinners. All the meats are quality and well made. Bbq sauce comes in mild and hot, I do half and half hot is VERY HOT

Always great taste and great service, always fast and fresh food, the hot sauce! Just creates that right eye tear drop of spiciness, friendly service and quick.chicken and tri-tip cook to perfection!
