Excellent staff that really understood top notch customer service. Alex, the manager, was friendly and super helpful greeting me and directing me towards the items I needed.

Then another staff member provided great advice with no frills or wasted time.

Great experience shopping here!

Terrible customer service I found my own accessories with no help then waited 20 min to check out at which point in time someone cut the line, I shouldn’t have to yell at other customers to uphold the morality of common decency but then of course there’s a reason why they are clerking isn’t there.

Sold me something ineffective and I went back in to exchange it for a better product but I was two days past return period so they told me to kick rocks. Lovely

Even with the limited number of staff on hand during this time I was able to have all my questions answered & was able to get in and out quickly.

Taylor helped us and we bought a Nintendo. He patiently answered all of our questions (and we had a lot). He was friendly and helpful and did not rush us. Taylor did an excellent job. Thank you!

I went to this store as it reported that the item I wanted was in stock. When I get there I can't find the item. Really hard to find anyone to help you. When I eventually found someone he said they are on the shelf where I had already looked. When I told him the shelf was empty he walked off in that direction. I had no clue if he was helping me or not. He did eventually come back with what I wanted. Managed to ring me up and place the item on the desk all without speaking a single word.

Extremely Frustrated - I've tried calling this store to change the pickup person for my order because I can't do it online. I have tried calling on three different days, at different times of the day (morning, afternoon and evening) and no one picks up. I've tried all options on the menu, and I can never get through, even after waiting over 10 minutes on hold! You guys really need to fix your phone system, or hire more people so the phone can get answered.

This store has a decent selection of tech products and appliances. The staff is friendly and helpful - if you can find them. They will price match too, so you're not going to pay more.
Open box items are generally a very good deal.
One drawback is the short fuse on returns, usually only 2 weeks.

A great store to shop in! Staff is very helpful and went the extra mile to ensure we were happy. Will return for future purchases.

Meh, just your average Electronic department store. Not the greatest customer service and ridiculous policies. Definitely not worth the money nor hassle coming to this store. Amazon is where it's at.

Exerv received exceptinal customer service. Sorry, but not everyone can answer all their questions online! I needed help making my best choices and with the price match, I didn't over pay. I love that Best Buy still gives me an in-store shopping option and I will remain their customer as long as they do!

Sure, there's a big blue sign that has the store name, but I have to pretend that Best Buy Encinitas does not exist.

As an IT consultant, this Best Buy should be a solid, local resource. Instead it has consistently been a cost center of wasted time and frustration.

I've had problems before, but today was enough for me to say to myself: Best Buy Encinitas does not exist. It just isn't there. Go to Costco or Staples or a 7-11.

Here's the timeline:

- Friday, a client told me at 4PM that he needed a new computer Monday. I worked there until 8PM and was fully booked with family Saturday. My only time to pick up a PC was Sunday afternoon before the Superbowl.

- Sunday, I placed an order at 12: 32 for a PC and screen. The checkout said it will be ready for pickup in an hour.

- At 1: 36, I left the house to get the order

- At 1: 45, I got a call from Marco (sp?), saying there was a problem with the computer and they didn't have one for me. I asked him for options for other computers and he gave me none, just saying they could get one from another store and have it for me by Monday. I told him I was pulling in and asked him to get the store manager to help me figure something out. He said he was the store manager.

- At 1: 49, I pulled in. No Marco. Suspecting Marco was pulling the ol' "I'm the manager" trick, I asked the door greeter for the manager and said I'd be over at Online Order Pickup.

- I waited in line at customer service until Jonathan helped me. His nametag said supervisor. He went back and tried to sort things out with Marco. While waiting, I picked out a similar unit, an all in one with similar specs and price.

- Marco and Jonathan came up front and confirmed that the PC I originally ordered was not in inventory.

- Ringing up the all-in-one, it was over $200 more than the price tag of the display unit it was under. Turns out it was under a display that was out of stock. The unit I grabbed was similar, with no display.

- I settled on a Dell that was the same basic specs as the HP I started with, but $150 more.

- I checked out and got out of there as fast as I could to get home to prepare my appetizer for the super bowl party I was going to.

Here's the rub: at no point did Marco or Jonathan apologize for the inconvenience, much less offer a discount on the unit I found. Marco misrepresented his authority as store manager and did not take responsibility as warehouse manager for the out of stock item or the time it took him to call me and tell me they didn't have it.

And, if you think this review is long, I timed it (because I'm waiting for my appetizer to cook). It took me less time to type this than I spent in Best Buy, trying to pick up a computer that I had already paid for.

Time is money, I will save both in the future by pretending Best Buy Encinitas went out of business.

Creepy how one sale department head gives you/me "the look". Btw, they have a restocking fee, lots of cell phones for sale including those 'unlocked'. And for service there are other BestBuy stores elsewhere. They match prices to only very FEW others (less and less as time goes by) and they must be all linked up for the same fixed price.

Best buy always seems to have what we need at decent prices. We wait for sales most of the time and it always works out there. They always have good deals. Staff isn't as pushy as they used to be.

I didn't even know Escinitas had a location! This Bestbuy is differently a much smaller one. Like an express. They had things the other BestBuys didn't have! Which is nice! Again Bestbuy is doing great with customer service. The employees look happy. They politely ask you if there is anything they can help. The moto has always been. Have fun while being the best. And that's one thing you feel in each store you go in! Mission Valley and the one Carmel Valley need to start taking tips from the Northern Stores because they are on point. Clean, very well staffed. Employees are quick on there toes to help! Restrooms clean and well equipped. Parking here wasn't so bad. It is little hard to find because you will drive right past it. But over all another positive experience! Thank you Escinitas location!
