Best Western Amador Inn reviews
17The shower had hair on the walls and in tub. Floors were dirty, towels old and stained, shower soap shelf had not been cleaned in a long time… someone else’s room key card on the floor proving floors had not been done. Walls of bathroom were filthy. ALL FOR $180 for ONE NIGHT. We chose Best Western bc we trusted the name…. Epic failure
This is our go to spot. Everyone is always nice rooms are clean and comfortable the stuff goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. The two ladies that do breakfast deserve a raise the work there butts off to ensure you are satisfied. 5 plus stars
Stayed here 2 years in a row when working at the Midsummer festival in Plymouth and we hope to be back again next year. Perfect location, excellent breakfast, and the kindest staff! Thank you!
The room we had on the 2nd floor had kind of a musty smell to it upon arrival. It was fine, but if you're sensitive, this would be considered below average for what I think is BW standards. Not so much a criticism of here, but just noting the property is dated.
The rooms are large by today's standards and there are at least 3 buildings.
Other rooms for guests in my party said they had a heavy smell of smoke in what should be a non smoking room.
Great location, but to walk to historic Jackson there is no sidewalk on the main road and you'll need to go behind the buildings and even then you'll need to be careful crossing over.
The outside pool gets shaded in late afternoon and towels were well stocked.
You'll get 10% off at Dennys next door if you show your room key when paying.
It’s a bit of an older 2-story building with interior room access and nice skylights in the hall. Room was clean with modern Best Western decor. I loved that the bathtub was large and featured a square rainfall shower head. TV was large, but isn’t a smart TV for steaming. Wi-Fi worked great. Customer service was friendly. Only negatives would be the carpet being sticky in need of a shampoo, and a few sketchy groups of people (guests) in the parking lot who were likely there for the nearby casino. The on-site Dennys gives a 10% discount if you show your room card. Great value overall, especially booking direct.
We were supposed to get water but they didn't have any. The toilet was way too small and noisy.
Good breakfast, I didn't like the fact the front desk female made me feel as tho I was inconvenienting her every time I had a concern like when tiping room service to fix my room and she did not service room then took the shower curtain when she did fix the room ie beds
Front desk was friendly but after that it went down hill. Our room had a musty smell and we found mold over the shower! I drink decaf coffee due to high blood pressure. My husband asked them to make some decaf. When I went down to get some coffee I couldn't find it and a blonde woman who works in the breakfast area said she doesn't allow decaf in the area cause it's not real coffee so why drink it and laughed! I went to the front desk and they had a carafe of decaf there! We will not be staying there again.
This place is disgusting. There was hair on the bed and shower also pee and toilet paper in the toilet. I went to complain and they offered me $20.00. I didn’t want the money! I wanted a complete refund and to find a better place.
Usually Best Western Hotels are decent but not this one… This one is dirty dirty!
The room was large and clean, the bed was darn right comfortable and the shower was nice and hot and the cost was quite reasonable.
They have one of the better breakfasts I've had at a regular hotel, I was there for two nights and the breakfasts were different each morning, plus they have a yogurt machine and a wide selection of breakfast cereals and bagels and cream cheese and such available. And to add to that the staff that maintains it are terrific and seem to enjoy their job.
Good bang for the buck if you ask me.
Wasn't the best. Wasn't the worst. Staff was nice. Breakfast was typical. Nice location in California gold country. Rooms were being renovated while we were there. Probably better in the future.
Beds were really uncomfortable like sleeping on a concrete slab Linens were dirty and had what appeared to be feces on the blanket And we found a pill on the floor which concerned us for our small dogs saftey when we said something about all of this we were told that they are remodeling and would tell the GM we Probably will not stay here again
I was going to wait until check out to leave a review, but decided it couldn't wait. I've stayed here countless times for work and have noticed a gradual decline. It started when the tree service companies "took over. " This time in particular the chain on the toilet broke. I went to the front desk where I was told there are no other rooms to move to. Ok can someone fix the toilet? They had to call the manager. The "fix" is I get a key to an out of service room across the hall to use the bathroom as there is no one to fix a toilet chain. The parking lot is typically full of tree service vehicles and building B is typically loud. The rooms have been upgraded and usually clean, but the customer service is lacking. So I go across the hall to the out of service room and no toilet paper, and the toilet has not been cleaned. For a while.
Great place clean, friendly with a good breakfast. Our room just needed a repair on the curtain valance. Also the dog walk was very tiny but also very clean Other than that it was great.
Our rooms had some bedbugs in it, Building B 236,238 & 240. Sketchy people filling the lot, trash or unorganized mess. Stay here at your own risk.
Room was really dirty, body hair, and smelled. The breakfast was decent and the breakfast attendant was very helpful and kind.
Reserved a room for one night stay on my way to Kirkwood. The room was clean and had all necessities. The price was decent. I got room 107 which was facing parking lot and had fireplace. The fireplace was functional. Bed sheets were clean, mattress and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast selection was poor. I went to Denny’s for breakfast. They share parking lot with the hotel. Overall good experience. Thank you!
