Best Western Big Country Inn, Coalinga CA

Huge Cockroaches all over the parking lot and doorways. Smells like manure and lots of construction. The room was large and clean.

Staff was friendly
Rooms were clean
The room was freshly painted
The Only issue very small tub and oversized shower rod left a puddle of water on the floor
Grab and go breakfast was sparse.

Undergoing major renovation. Inside very clean and modern. Minus one star for missing weatherstrip under door, insects got in, had to roll up a bath towel to block the gap.

Stayed May 2021. Rooms are newly redone and very tasteful and modern. Beds are new and comfortable. All new tile, carpets, fixtures and furnishings. The outside is currently being completely resurfaced with stucco but did not cause us any inconvenience. The staff was nice. Due to Covid the free breakfast is very limited and the pool is closed. There is a Denny's next door.

We often stay at BW and this time used our rewards points. We travel this way often but this is the first time we've stayed here. Wow, what a little gem in the middle of nowhere. Reception was very friendly, parking close, quiet and comfortable room. I walked next door to Dennys for dinner. Reccomend both and will be using you guys again! Oh and all one story! No stairs.

A very nice Best Western. Very clean rooms and hotel grounds. Well kept. Pet friendly. Right off I5, convenient to travelers. Check-in was easy and fast. Rooms are quiet. Hotel has a pool and free breakfast from 5 to 9 am M-F and 5 to 10 am S-S. Free wifi in lobby and rooms. Computer use available. Military and Costco discounts available.

It was just what we needed after a long hot drive from San Francisco to napa to Oceanside. It was about half way home and it was like a golden oasis on a hot dusty road. From the moment we arrived everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The pool was sparkling and most refreshing. I can't think of one bad thing to say. We shall return!

Clean. Quaint. Cow smells but who cares. You know where you are when staying here. Towels were great, breakfast was steps from every room, and was YUMMY. We stayed South bound then again North bound. Doing it again in april.enjoy.
Oh.and Harris ranch is right there!

Over all it was a good hotel in a bad location, but being down wind from a farm tends to do that. The staff was friendly and was flexible with my request (check out). The property is undergoing renovations so it’s not top notch. Even saying that I’m just being picky, it was a good stay.

This Best Western is very nice. The staff is friendly. The room and grounds are nice and clean. The Continental breakfast was very nice. The only issue is the area, which cannot be helped. There is not much around to do. Thank goodness for in room cable!

Good hotel and value for the Coalinga, CA area. Single story, Clean rooms, caring staff. Free breakfast has good choices and fresh foods. Only con is TV selection could be better.

Excellent place to stay on our drive to LA. Breakfast included was very very good. Very reasonable price for a nice, clean motel.

I was welcomed warmly by a very friendly young man. The lobby was comfortable and nicely decorated. The rooms are very nice, beds comfy. I slept very well. Good value for the money.

Context is Coalinga! Our favorite spot to stay since we think Harris Ranch is a over the top & pretense
