Best Western Coyote Point Inn, San Mateo CA

Would not recommend! Only saw one staff member who did not seem like they wanted to be bothered. Bed was lumpy and sunken in. Shower drain would not stay open, had to wedge a bar of soap in the drain to keep it open just so the water could drain. Only saw one employee the while I was there and thankfully they were nice but I didn't feel welcomed. Rooms are a decent size. Toiletries were just lotion and soap. Body soap, shampoo, and conditioner attached to shower wall were not good quality. The hot tub outside looked clean but was extremely dirty, I got out and my skin was covered in dirt and debris. Dated rooms, old appliances. Overall nothing was worth the price at all! Definitely pass on this hotel. Location is decent near the airport at least. No food anywhere near here.

The building is old and certainly needs major renovations. Despite being old, it was very clean.
The housekeeping staff and kitchen staff were incredibly kind and professional. Overall nice atmosphere.
Free indoor and outdoor parking.
Complementary breakfast and wifi provided.
Location is pretty good, near foster city and airport.
For the price you pay, it's a good option.

Not worth it. They charge $100 deposit which they mention nowhere on their site. Bad breakfast.

Better service than expected, solid breakfast with waffle bar, free parking and all the amenities you need

This was really an outstanding Best Western. The rooms were very comfortable the staff was great. Anything that we needed they provided. We were up at 3: 00 a.m. They made sure we had coffee for our meetings. I highly recommend this Best Western if you're in Northern California

The rooms are clean and bigger than your traditional rooms. The service is ok, but the rooms are clean. House keeping does every other day, as I have witnessed it myself where they actually take their time to clean one room. No rushed jobs here. The rooms look like in the picture, with nice furnishing that isn't outdated. There's a sauna! Like a 10 person sauna. I like the free parking (there's an underground parking area too), as many other places in the area charge for parking. Breakfast is very good. They change a few things every other day, but it is nice. The staff here really does a great job at maintaining cleanliness. One side of the hotel is closer to the freeway, so if you're a light sleeper, ask for the other end. Wifi Internet is slow, so you might want to bring your own. I saw an Ethernet port, but can't say it works as I didn't have a cable. Overall, a very nice Best Western with hard working employees that cleans throughly.

One of the nicer BW we have stayed at. Their staff always makes us feel welcomed no matter the location. Check in was fast as always. There was plenty of parking. Their eating area was clean and stocked. We even had dinner downstairs during our stay. We took full advantage of what they had to offer this time and they always made us feel like we weren't putting them out. Thank you for another great stay BW.

This is a great hotel, very clean and the staff is very helpful. It's also a great location, close to lots of restaurants and shopping and Coyote Point Marina and Park.

If you were looking for a view this is not the place for you but if you are looking for a centralized location between the sides of the bay area this would be It. The breakfast in the morning is very hearty and enjoyable. Everything is clean, everything is nice and everybody is pleasant. I definitely enjoyed my stay

Rooms were nice and clean. But, I would prefer to have a little more privacy in the room especially with the sheer curtain. Suggesting blackout curtains would be helpful

Rooms are great except for the fact that the carpet leaks black ink on feet!

Service is good. Only issue is the service staff speaks Spanish only which for international travelers becomes a communication issue sometimes.

There's breakfast included which is great.

No room cleaning the entire week we were here. The hot tub was broken and the elevator was broken the whole time.

Location within walking distance to coyote point and it’s a gorgeous walk. Clean large rooms that are QUIET and staff very friendly. Full breakfast that is delicious!

Not family friendly! Everywhere has noise issue: AC running like humming machine, bathroom door squeaking while opening, upstairs footstep in 2AM, upstairs bathroom water running like roaring. Can’t sleep well over the night.

Above that, other things seem fine as reviewed on Google - friendly staff, conv location, ok sound proof from freeway. Hope breakfast is good tmrw.

They have very poor House keeping service. The Front desk Personnel does not own the problem and keep pushing it to someone else. During my stay it was At least 5-6 times I had to remind them and they kept repeating their mistakes. The breakfast personnel are rude and they discriminate visitors from locals as they asked me to wears gloves to take food and they would not do that with locals. I would not recommend this place unless you don’t have a choice. Their breakfast and car parking is good. Small gym with only one thread Mill.
