Best Western Inn & Suites San Diego – Zoo/Seaworld Area

I stayed at the San Diego/Zoo location on October 24th. The person who checked me in was abrupt and cold almost to the point of rudeness. She didn't exhibit kindness courteousness, warm, or any other trait of good customer service. I wanted to note, however, that the other staff I encountered at the hotel were helpful and friendly.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a friendlyvstaff! Amber was especially great! She guided me to a few close resturaunts andbthings to do around the city. She was very detailed in her help and I appreciate that as its our first time in San Diego. The room so far is great! Clean and spacious! Manager was also friendly and welcoming! Great spot so far!

I have stayed here before and never had to pay for parking. Now they charge. Was put in a room next to the elevator and the lady never said or asked if this was ok. Too much noise when you're next to the elevator.

The employees at this place are amazing! Everyone is so friendly, even coming after midnight they still greet you well. From the security guy, GM, and kitchen employees, well done! Very welcoming. The rooms are nice, we were a family of 5 with 2 queen beds plus small couch that's reversed into sleeping bed, so plenty of room for all. We booked here 2x on this vacation. Breakfast is really good, all fresh and with plenty of replenishment. Parking, it's tight for sure, still plenty of spaces there but tight to park and yes there is a parking charge, It's a convenient place, 10 min from the airport. If we go again to SD, I would try to book with them.

This place was very neat and clean, service was excellent very helpful with not only the hotel but also with places around here easy nice walking locations!

The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. They are so personable and cheery, you can’t help but smile when speaking with them.

Just stayed here last week. For Thursday and Friday they charged me $476.80, yes.that's two nights for almost $500. The second night I had a horrible experience with my neighbors making noise, due to this they offered me about $60 dollars back for that night. I'm back home a week later and I'm still waiting on my $150 deposit and that $60 credit. My bank said it would take up to 14 days for BW to make an adjustment and if they don't, it will take another two weeks to a month for them to get me my money back. Also, they charged me $46 dollars extra for parking for 2 days. The beds are horrible. I knew the moment the lady was checking me in with the rude service that I should had just walked away and booked somewhere else, I learned my lesson for the future. I do not recommend this place.

Amber was fantastic she was very helpful, polite and respectful. She also had recommended some good places and glad she got to help us both night that we had stayed there. The rooms were great and breakfast was delicious. We'll definitely come back here next vacation.

Ashley was very polite and professional. She always has a smile and makes us feel welcome while arriving to the best western.

Room amazing, guest service amazing. It’s only our first day here and I had to leave a review! Staff is amazing here Amber was a giant help and recommended us some AMAZING dinner places and some amazing sunset spots! Definitely am coming back to this location! Would HIGHLY recommend!

My stay at this San Diego, CA Best Western was truly exceptional. The level of customer service surpassed my expectations, and I must highlight the outstanding assistance from Amber. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great room, addressing our preferences with genuine care. Additionally, Anne and Herbie contributed to the positive experience, and Herbie's swift resolution of the AC unit issue was much appreciated. The staff's dedication made this visit memorable, and I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service.

The room was is dis-repair. Furniture falling apart, tile was broken fixtures missing holes in yhe tile around the bath tub. Base boards were dirty beds were uncomfortable and the property refuses to allow you park on property unless you pay the extortion tax of an extra 23 dollars a night. I parked on the street and when I went outside to get something from my rental, there was literally a homeless lady smoking crack beside my vehicle. The parking lot was not even half full. Absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone who values thier property. It is evident that the best western does not. After speaking to best western corperate, they are ok with this type of behavior. I will never stay at one of thier properties again.

Service was outstanding, Amber at the front desk was incredibly helpful and recommended a really good restaurant, the Lazy Dog. Hotel Location is kind of annoying to get too
