Best Western Liberty Inn, Lebec CA

This was an ADA room and we noticed that there was no way for a wheelchair to get soap on their hands unless wheeling into the shower area. Aside from that I think the room was perfect.

Good for starting in the morning into the bay area. Standard Best Western. WIFI did not work in the room, moved to lobby for final work, nobody could help late in the evening, just reset the router might have helped.

Clean, quiet, nice staff, nice green amenities. However, it is not in Lebeck, it is North of there so check the map.

PROs:
Convenient location. Comfortable bed. Minimal freeway noise. Nice staff. Breakfast pretty basic, but good.
Easy access to Denny's and Tesla and generic charging stations.

CONs:
Fan in bathroom was noisy, but was able to unplug it (the desk staff said they knew it was an issue, but could not help).

Would stay again.

Clean well looked after but kind of expensive and breakfast was mediocre.
Chipotle across the street was a plus.

Easy in and out of the interstate good location. Clean rooms and also the property was very clean.

We just needed a place to sleep. So we enjoyed our stay. The beds were good, the rooms were clean and updated.
The only thing that bummed me out a little was that the attendant who checked us in didn’t mention the breakfast and breakfast hours.
When we came downstairs the breakfast was over.

Facilities always well kept. Breakfast room really lacking, should have gone too Denny's.

Rooms are unsafe and unsecured. Another guest opened my room door in the middle of the night. Front desk is doing nothing about it. Used furniture as my door security. 142 dollars for an unsafe room that any stranger could walk into with a random card key.

TV didn't work and the front desk attendant wasn't professional in saying, " well it could be worse" then walked away. Training needed.

Not bad.no one disturbed me.plenty of restaurants within walking distance.room was comfy.no elevator so ask for 1st level if you want.
I didn't mind 2nd level.
I don't eat brkfst but it seemed to be the same as others.not bad

Rooms are very clean and Cozy, Staff is very Friendly and Breakfast is delicious!
(Thier Shampoo and Body wash also smell so good!) Best place I've ever stayed! 10/10

So I'm going to describe an unusual situation and I let you decide for yourself, but I will never be stopping anywhere in this area ever again. I don't think this particular best western staff or management is at fault, but the area is.let me just tell you.

For context me and my wife were coming back home with an empty U-Haul trailer.

We settled in our room, moved all our road bags from the truck to the room and went through the side door in the direction of Denny's to get dinner.

As we were walking away from the best western side building someone we've never met this day yelled from the second story of best western:

"are you guys going to Danny's? !? "
We responded: ". Yeah? "
"Hey show them your room cards - they'll give you a discount! "

We: "okay, thanks! "

At first we didn't think much of it, maybe someone got a discount there as well and as a good Samaritan shared it with us.

So we went to Danny's and after taking a seat at the booth asked if we could get a discount from a waitress.

She said: "most likely yes, but let me show your room keys to my manager just to make sure"

I took room cards from paper cover and only gave her paper cover with best western logo and our room number, but not the cards.

Her face was motionless the entire time, it was hard to see any reaction or emotion at all. She took the keys paper cover to the back to "ask manager".

Came back shortly apologized and said there will be no discount.

This is weird. There's either a discount for best western customers or there isn't. If there isn't why the man said there is?

No explanation was given.

Something felt off to me and we even run back to the hotel room, but no, nothing was touched as far as we could tell.

Now as far as I can tell there are two possibilities: maybe they were offering a discount before and stopped just recently. OR some Danny's employees trick customers into giving them keys "for discount" and while they wait for food their room is searched for valuables.

Since I didn't give them keys, only the paper cover, they couldn't enter my room, so.

The overall feeling I got from this entire area is - shady. Not the best western stuff fault at all - the manager was pleasant and helpful so was stuff in the breakfast area. But this one Denny's employee who tried to take our keys, felt very suspicious to me. And "good Samaritan" yelling from second story walkway felt off the same way.

Great hotel to stop at on the way to LA traveling on I-5. The BEST free continental breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. This will def be my go to place to stop from now on. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Convenient location.

Clean place, nice basic breakfast, ample parking. Only negative is the traffic on nearby Highway 5 which we heard all night.

Drove 6 hours to the hotel, finally get there and they gave my room away and were sold out. There where no other hotels in the area with availability, had to drive over and hour to find a hotel.

The hotel stay was great per usual. No disturbances or anything. No problems but the continental breakfast area was very dirty and there was hardly anything when I went to go grab breakfast for my family and I.
