16 Stayed here for a quick weekend getaway and was not disappointed!
First off, the afternoon staff is wonderful! Upon arrival we were warmly received, check in is easy after a 2 hour drive this is essential! Parking is convenient. Lobby is beautiful! The room we stayed in had a fireplace and a patio and it was absolutely gorgeous! The bed is comfortable and the room is huge! Breakfast was delicious with a variety of breakfast foods but I was very happy with the milk options they had, oat, almond and the usual.
We got some dinner recommendations from the staff there and they were delicious! Went to Nacho Business and a desert place to go.
We brought back desert to our hotel and forgot forks, we called the front desk and had somebody bring us up two forks after we insisted we would go down for them.
My partner and I are planning to be in Monterey for car week this summer and we know exactly where we will be staying!
Wife and booked one night stay this weekend. Have stayed at this location numerous times. Allan greeted us warmly. Very attentive. He was excellent. We had a great room. Very roomy. Problem was water saving toilet wouldn't flush. Tried multiple times. Even removed tank cover. Allan very graciously moved us. Upgrade. Fireplace but smaller room. Anyway, i usually pre-clean the room with wipes. When it came to the bathroom door, the wipe turned COMPLETELY BROWN! YUCK! Your guess is as good as mine what the brown substance was. Allan stated he would inform HK about my discovery. No discount offered by Allan. Next day, was breakfast. "Eggs" were wet. Liquid drained from them. Tossed that in the trash. Tried the hash browns. Literally a heaping glop. Tastless. Tossed in trash. Then gave oatmeal a try. OMG. Horrible. The pancakes were yummy. This they got right because the machine made them. Not a person. The quality of food here was a big failure. Either do it right or don't offer such inferior breakfast. I suggest management serve as quality control and try the food each morning. I asked for a discount on the room before checking out due to the filthy bath door. I offered to bring the dirty wipe for his viewing and to take all the pics he liked. He took pics. Said he can't approve a discount. Only managers do that. I asked for the manager. They will call you. Yeah right. We'll see. Hard to write a negative review because we've always had a positive experience here. The food quality, in particular, has dropped considerably. A filthy door like we had was unacceptable. Advice, eat the pancakes. Wipe every part of the room you touch with sanitizing wipes.

Follow up to response from? No name. No title who responded. Called the hotel since i hadn't heard from a manager in nearly a week. Was told by Jim, all managers are attending a convention.listed phone number below goes directly to hotel front desk. I just love how management says your terrible experience is our training lesson. Huh! How about a credit for the inconvenience? The terrible food. The filthy door.
I don't usually review big chain places, but! I've stayed here several times now and I absolutely love this place! Best hotel service I've had anywhere. Every desk recep is very kind and friendly and helpful. Easy and very good parking. Great location, close to the airport as well as the main street of Monterey. Excellent price! Very nice rooms on a quiet street. Even has an outdoor hot tub! Breakfast isn't bad at all, and they have coffee and tea all hours.
Mostly though, the phenomenal service and great hotel for a very reasonable price. Love this place, will continue coming back.
We stayed for two nights.
The room was furnished with a TV, refrigerator, chair, table, sofa, and king size bed. It also had a fireplace and ceiling fan. There is also a full selection of coffee and other beverages.
My wife and I repeatedly tried to book 10 rooms with this place, and have yet to get a call/email back. We've reached out to the GM Diane via email and repeated phone calls. We tried to catch her when she was on shift via phone which is apparently between 10am and 1pm. Other staff members were kind, and helpful, and offered to leave notes for the GM to call us back, but we have not heard anything. This has been going on for weeks now. Shame we have to take our business elsewhere
My wife picked this hotel because she saw that the rooms have bathtubs. Turned out we had to reserve a premium room for the bathtub. The breakfast was fine. Had an interesting pancake machine.
Very nice hotel, room was clean and spacious, beds were really comfortable.
Front desk very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was good.
We definitely would stay here again.
This hotel was great for a weekend getaway. Close to downtown Monterey and Carmel. Good breakfast in the mornings. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear your neighbors but everyone was quite after around 10 pm. I would definitely stay here again.
The place is exceptional. Beautifully decorated, lovely gardens, incredible pool. The staff are all friendly and helpful. This is probably the most well managed Best Western I've stayed at, and I have stayed at Best Westerns for over 40 years.
Very clean and large rooms and friendly staff but be very weary of extremely thin walls! We could hear people talking very clearly from the other rooms and the noise from people walking on the floor above us was constant.

Just stayed this weekend because my husband went on a fishing trip. Hotel was clean, food area kept clean and neat, parking safe, front desk helpful, friendly and professional. Hotel room very clean. The hotel follows CDC COVID guidelines and all employees had on face mask. Hotels are high risk but this hotel keeps guest safe by following guidelines. When we are in the area i will stay again.
Good hotel and good breakfast. My only complaint is that on the first floor, you can easily hear people on the floor above you walking.

Would not accept cash, reached out to manager Dianne 2 times, would not return the calls, just curious why credit card only, not posted on site, poor follow up from management!
I went for my 15th anniversary and stayed for 3 nights. The room was clean and nicely carried for. The staff was pleasant and made my stay enjoyable. The hotel was within walking distance from everywhere. Great place to stay!
