I had previously stayed at the Best Western Seven Seas and had a good experience. The location in the corner of Hotel Circle can be a little difficult to navigate, but the grounds are beautiful and there is a pool and restaurant onsite. I was looking forward to this next visit. I think perhaps there is new ownership or management that is more interested in maximizing profits today.

The grounds are still gorgeous. Our rooms were not ready at 4: 00pm check-in time, nor did the front desk staff acknowledge (like most Best Westerns) that we were elite members and typically the front desk offers us cold waters. This hotel apparently does not offer that, plus has in-room water for which there is a charge.

The rooms are a little dated and felt like they were being neglected as far as maintenance is concerned. In the room I stayed in, we immediately noticed that there was no outer part to the in-door viewer that lets you see who is outside.

Upon entering the room, we noticed some dark stains on the ceiling. The beds were doubles, but the bedding did not seem large enough to be able to properly have two people underneath of it. Every time one of us rolled over, we pulled the sheets of the other person. That made for a not-so-restful night.

The phone was missing a cover and perhaps other pieces and looked like something out of an abandoned hotel. I began to wonder if there was free breakfast, so I tried to call the front desk to clarify. The phone didn't work. I used my mobile phone and discovered that they no longer offer any type of complimentary breakfast like almost every other Best Western, or like they used to in the past.

In addition to this, when we went to take a shower, the knob that points to hot and cold were reversed - meaning the further you went to hot the colder the shower was. Perfect was right about in the middle, but that was also the "off" setting.

The next time I need a hotel in San Diego, I will look further than the Best Western Seven Seas. This hotel seems to be all about the revenue and not about guest experience.

Front desk was super nice they answered all my questions.
Once we got to the room we noticed we got a room with a shared door. That little space between our room doors had a strong Smell (maryjane). The rooms were small even though there was two full beds. The pool and spa were nice and very close to the rooms.
Over all if you want to stay the night for just 1 time and very reasonable price this is your place.

Was worried after seeing other posts, but the hotel has security and there were no issues on premises. Yes, it's an aging facility, but everything was fine for the bargain rates we paid. Near public transit and multiple restaurants (including a nice, but slightly expensive Cafe on site).

This place is alright for a night if you get it at the correct price. The rooms were outdated and unkept. The bathroom was incredibly dirty. Fine for a night, but wouldn’t recommend longer than that.

This place.where to begin. My work got this place for the week I and co-workers were in town. Check in was easy. The room is disgusting. When I walked in, there was a smell of mustiness or mold maybe. The A/C was turned off, I kinda get it to save energy, but the fridge door was open and also turned off. The floor felt damp and the beds also.like someone had used a spray bottle and misted it. Glad I brought slippers. Saw a cockroach my second day in the room. Yuck. The 5th day in the room, saw and killed 3 out of 4 cockroachs. Unacceptable. To sum up
Musty smell
Damp floor and beds
Cockroaches.
Owners need to spend some money on upgrades.
The grounds are nice. Restaurant fair. Didn't use the pool or hot tub, walked by and they looked nice.

Great location near major freeways. Basic room with mini fridge. Park right in front of room for free. Pool and jacuzzi. Restaurant on site. 75 dollar deposit at check in. Budget friendly spot in hotel circle and near fashion valley mall which has a trolly stop if you don't want to drive everywhere.

This is the 2nd time i stayed there this year, and I was not disappointed. It is a nice quiet hotel in a great san diego location. The staff was a little rude when we were checking in, but they changed their attitude after a minute. I am guessing the previous customer pissed them off, so that was ok.

Rooms are tiny. It’s extremely rundown. A naked guy exposed him self to my wife and kids in room 230 on 10/13/23. Security did nothing. Didn’t knock on his door and say to stop. Nothing. We started in our first room and the bath/shower tub thing flew off the wall. We moved rooms and the Next room fridge didn’t work. Pubic hair was on the bathroom floor. Dirt on the pillow cases. The tv remote didn’t work. The tv only had cable tv. The phones don’t work to call the front desk. Actually they don’t work at all. The plumbing in our second room we moved to barely worked and made loud noises. The shower took 20 minutes to heat up. There are no comforters on the beds just sheets. Plumbing is exposed, not enough towels. The towels are small and not adequate for drying. My wife spent all her points on the room. We are not even going to stay the second night and just go home. Ya it is that bad! DO NOT GO HERE! It’s the worst hotel I have EVER STAYED IN. They will respond to me but what ever the responses you see are fake. My wife spent her final points from work for all her hard work at best western on the horrible experience.this hotel is ghetto as hell!

We pulled up to the best western on sept 15 and stayed there till 17. Parking was free. We walked in and was greeted by the ladies at the front desk. The room deposit was $75 (no cash). They asked if we wanted top or bottom floor we said we wanted the bottom floor please. We stayed in room 211 I think. I seen that they didn’t clean the place well and the smell. We wiped everything down with wipes and sprayed the room with Febreze. It smelled like hotel. The reviews said there was a problem with homeless when we stayed with didn’t have any problems with them. We had problems with the door Im our second day there. Maintenance was quick to help us. There was pool the with a very small gym and two jacuzzis. It was quiet but you could hear the doors closed each time. The price was good. The place was good outside but felt close to the hotels or restaurants around.

The room size is too small, the air conditioner is dirty, and the filter is missing. Facing the street, very noisy.

Very nice and clean hotel. Parking is bit crowded since the spacing are not really ment for big work trucks.

Not great for work travel. Gym opens at 8a-way too late to hit before conference sessions. This is an odd choice given the proximity to the Convention Center at Town and Country. Non-smoking rooms smell like smoke, so I decided to leave the windows open my entire stay instead of trapping the smoke in. The water tastes and smells strongly like sulphur, but they do offer $3.50 Aquafina water bottles in the room in case you don't want to drink the tap water. Exterior is nicely laid out with lush palm trees. The staff are kind.

Checked into the hotel around 8: 45 PM, the front desk agent made me feel very rushed, as she was talking to another employee that was standing at the end of the counter and I was the only other person in the office. When I tried to ask questions, her answers were very short and curt. When I asked about room availability for my reservation, I was advised there was only two rooms available. Didn’t buy the response as she was trying to get me out of there so she could continue her conversation. The parking lot wasn’t even half full at 8: 45 PM on a Wednesday evening.

Upon arriving to my room, there were long hairs on the toilet, and in the bathtub, there were termites crawling on the floor and on the bed. The mattresses do not have mattress covers on them and they give you two light blankets on your bed.

The gentleman with housekeeping is very rude, as I attempted to replace some towels for my room after two days of being on the property, the man was very rude and loud with me. When I approached the front desk about his attitude, I was advised by the front desk that housekeeping has to be that way because they do not know who is staying on the property and they have to watch out for people who may be doing drugs and also that the homeless wash their clothes and hang out in the laundry room. I did not buy the excuse, I can see the issues that may be present, however, you should never be rude to your paying guests. Your on site drug deals and homeless hanging out are not my responsibility. In addition to being rude while we are on the subject, the two security guards that work or night have no customer service skills at all. As I went out for a walk, one evening, I passed one at the entrance and asked how his night was going, and he just looked at me without saying even a word.

Property is in a great location, and the grounds are beautiful. Upgrade your staff, especially your front desk and security since they are the first people you come in contact with.

Easy to find.close to the freeway.landscape is gorgeous.beautiful property.ate at the restaurant.fist time stay at a best western that we had to pay for breakfast.it was around $70 for 3 people but the food was good.cons are they definitely have what I believe to be long term residence.if you are a smoker people will yell down to you to ask for a cigarette. I payed over $400 for a two night weekend stay on a weekend.to get harrased bye what seemed like permanent residents.oh and you get locked out of your room after one night and have to go to the office to get your key reset. I expected bugs from reading reviews and yes that's a thing.we had a big roach this morning that my husband tried to get with his shoe but it went behind a table leg and got caught in a spider web.instead of putting ads under the door they need to put weather strip and hang the ads on the door
