I was diagnosed with MGD maybe 4 or 5 years ago. At the time I was left with little to no help/relief other then hot compresses. I continued to suffer with my dry eyes for years until I recently saw ads for new dry eye drops and that is what got me interested in looking for help again. I found Dr Silani in my search and I'm so happy that I did.

At my first appointment I had some tests run and could clearly see that my prior diagnosis was correct. These were new and much more advanced tests than I had done years earlier. It was reassuring to plainly see that my dry eyes were not something I was exaggerating and there was a genuine, definable and quantifiable problem.

*I will write this next part honestly so you know what to expect (I was a little taking a back). *
After reviewing my test results with the Dr I was presented with treatment options and pricing. While I had come in initially for drops the Dr made it clear that at this office they prefer to treat the underlying issue (using various treatments) and not just mask the symptoms (using the drops). The drops were still an option but more of a last resort. At this point I could tell something was a little different. The treatments that were suggested (Lumenis IPL and BlephEx) were not covered by insurance, however the drop option was. This raised some flags for me. On the paperwork with my treatment options were also payment options. It began to feel more similar to a medspa type of situation than a medical Dr's office- there were bundled payment packages. Ie 1 treatment for this price or 4 treatments for that price. This made me a little uneasy and I decided I needed to do a little research before I committed to moving forward. After leaving the office that's what I did and found that the treatments are real, beneficial, competitively priced and indeed not covered by insurance. I think it's important to know these things before your visit so you're not caught off guard. I decided that it was worth a try and I'm so glad I did!

I will tell you now that the treatments are not cheap! However in my case, with my results, worth every penny. I would recommend Dr Silani and these treatments to anyone who has a similar diagnosis. It has helped me tremendously. Also Dr Salini is a great guy: easy to get along with, knowledgeable, and makes you feel very at ease while in the office. And as far as my dry eyes I'm using little to no moisturizing drops (used to use 10+x a day), my eyes are clear and bright, and my relief is incredible.

I would recommend making an appointment to anyone who has dry eye, MGD, issues and seeing what the Dr has to offer and if it could help you as much as it has me. 10/10 would recommend!

Everyone at this center was so kind, warm and caring. And they have all the modern equipments which is always a plus. Dr Younani was so thorough and she described everything in details and made sure I am being taken care of with no rush.
Dr Silani was also so professional and courteous. They suggested me to do a complete dry eye exam as well as a deep cleaning, which they managed to do the same day as my first visit. I highly recommend them.

I’ve seen countless doctors and been to 3 different clinics for dry eye but this one is BY FAR the best. Not only does Dr. Silani have the latest dry eye technology, but he walks you through the entire testing and diagnosis process so you can see what images and values they are looking at. As someone who reads a lot of scientific literature on dry eye, it was refreshing to hear Dr. Silani quote a lot of the articles I have read about, which really showed that he stays up to date on the latest treatments and studies. After having the iLux, ZEST, and 1 IPL treatment I saw a 75-80% improvement in my symptoms after around 2 weeks. Going in for my monthly IPL treatments are so much fun and honesty feels like visiting a friend to catch up and chat. The staff are also SO kind and really know how to run an efficient clinic. Not even comparable to some other clinics I’ve been to where waits can be upwards of 2 hours with an appointment! As a software engineer I am so thankful to have my career and my life back and am looking forward to my last 2 IPL treatments. If ur also struggling with dry eye, COME HERE! It will be worth it I promise.

Dr Silani is very skilled and passionate. His office staff is very friendly and professional. My eyes were severely dry and I was in so much pain and discomfort when I found Dr Silani last fall. I've improved significantly under his care. I have qualify of life again. I would highly recommend him.

Not sure why, but this year my eyes have been watering and itching like crazy. I went to Beverly Hills Optometry and they put me on a dry eye treatment plan. My eyes are feeling so much better!

I usually don’t have any issues with my vision or eyes but I needed an eye doctor so my co-worker recommended Beverly Hills Optometry. I do spend lots of time on the computer and get some occasional eye fatigue. I opted for the dry eye imaging and Dr Younany recommended some custom eye care products. Always an amazing experience with Drs Y and Silani! Dr Y will perform my annual eye exams while Dr S takes care of my dry eye treatments. The biologic eye drop, Regen, is small but so effective. I prefer the holistic approach they have and prefer not using medications from the pharmacy. Also, big shoutout to Neda and Brandi for their great customer service!

I recently visited the office with Dr Younany who was excellent. She checked my vision for both glasses and contacts, she performed several tests and reviewed the results thoroughly, answering all my questions. She even showed why I need a deep cleaning of my eyelids called BlephEx and my eyes felt immediately better after the treatment. The whole team was friendly and professional and they make the checkout process easy to order contact lenses and even found a few pairs of glasses next door at Super Vision. Thanks again, will definitely refer more patients! My go-to spot for eye care now.

I have struggled with dry eye for decades and it became especially worse during Covid. I have visited so many doctors and tried so many treatments with minimal improvement. So glad to say that Dr Silani is my last stop! He has the most advanced equipment to test and treat my dry eyes. After only 1 month and 1 session of the OptiLight IPL with the Tearcare, & my symptoms have improved dramatically! I finally have more good days than bad days. I still get some irritation and watery eyes but I know it’s early and have a long road ahead. I’m excited to continuing with my in-office IPLs and heat therapy.
