Big 5 Sporting Goods reviews
19This place is the definition of 2 stars. Came to buy roller skates and got some, but apart from that everything else was not great. Sloppy organization is an understatement, staff were swearing openly in front my 7 yo little sister (who had been waiting for 15+ minutes for help), products scattered all over the floor, nothing in the right spot, racks of clothes blocking hallways, and to top it all off, the staff was arguing the whole time about cheez-wiz (hence why my little sister wasn’t being helped). I mean the cheez-wiz argument alone pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the environment at this place.
They have good quality items. I mainly go for a comfortable shoe. And there are always good sales.
Good selection in many departments. Neat and organized. I often find bargains without looking at the ads. The only thing missing was more staff for assistance.
Simply put, Big-5 has been around since childhood and has ALWAYS delivered a great shopping experience with excellent service standards.
It's a mess, the selection is poor, and staff is consistently undertrained. This chain used to be one of my favorites and now they just have piles of overpriced junk.
Nice clean store wonderful selection of sporting goods but employees are more interested in interacting with each other goofing off then customer service. Went in they're looking for some tennis shoes three employees in the back look me up and down but they're more interested in goofing off with each other than selling me some sneakers
Cedric is the only reason i give this place any stars. Honestly the service is very minimal to no help at all i stood around for about 15 minutes till somebody finally asked if we needed help. Mean while Cedric one of the workers their was very helpful and attentive.
Love Big 5! Nobody puts more quality stuff in a small footprint store than Big 5. Been a customer for decades. It's my go-to.
While the employees were helpful and friendly, stock was low and everything that was supposedly on sale was nonexistent.
Nice store, not as big as some of the other Big 5 but not as small, either. Very nice staff, always willing to help.
Last time they had girls here that were very friendly, quick and efficient. This time 3 count them THREE dudes at the register one on one one on the other and a dude standing there. I had cash and the hat asked him if he could cash me out on the other register (i was in a hurry). He stared dead at me and just said "other register busy". I dropped the hat and left. I shall not return. Horrible customer service zero friendliness or professionalism. Typical cali 3 dudes standing around acting like jerks
Decent sporting goods store. Good pricing and sales. Sometime the quality of the products are not that great.
If u are a sports fan n need things related to it this is the place to.they sell shoes, watches, neat toys n neat things.can be expensive but worth it.been in Marin a long time.
Place used to have decent quality products that I needed/wanted. Over time, the merchandise has completed its evolution to "regurgitated garbage? " This place has decided to suck.
Went to get swimming goggles and accidentally bought a wrong kind, since there are quite a few of those. The exchange a little time later was very easy, enjoyed the customer service
Nice staff. When we came they were stocking the shelves so the store was very crowded with boxes.
Always a good place to find most sports equipment. Everything from the major sports to more leisurely activities like disc golf. And not to forget the only place around that still has a selection of rollerblades and rollerskates.
Good place to pick up new hobbiess. Lots of variety for all sorts of activoties, from disc golf to find to camping.
