Big Bar reviews
7Went mostly for the drinks. The Gatlin was good but I specially recommend the Ever After: it was amazing. Foodwise: the jerk chicken would have been much better with less rice and extra chicken. The staff’s quite friendly. The atmosphere was much better at the bar than in the tables.
Great outdoor seating. The guacamole was sooooooo goooood. I recomend it
Very inventive and flavorful cocktails, amazingly friendly service, charming ambience.everyone one would want from a neighborhood bar/restaurant.we snacked on the crab cakes, which were just as excellent as the cocktails.
This place has the most personable, nicest, most dedicated bartenders ever. And outdoor seating! And an adjacent cafe with full breakfast/lunch/dinner/desserts menu! And a 5-hour happy hour! This place is a gem, and as they say, I almost don’t want to give it away, but this place should be appreciated by many more people.
Cons: valet parking
Wonderful cocktails that, even if some may sound odd (oregano in an old fashioned?) are always delicious. Very hospitable bartenders as well.
Man, I almost hate to give this place away. It's not just the indoor / outdoor feel, or the quality of the food at The Alcove next door but the level bartending that really stands out. These people are really into making cocktails. They've also all been really nice to talk to. This is quickly becoming my favorite place to drink in LA.
This neighborhood gym in Los Feliz is just wonderful. I can't say enough great things about not only the location but the staff as well. The food is magnificent and the cakes and desserts are way over the top so save a place in your stomach because you won't want to miss out on any of it. They have a daily happy hour Monday through Friday from 2: 00 to 7: 00 with $5 beers and $8 cocktails along with some great finger foods. In the front patio you sit under gorgeous trees and at night they light up. I give this five stars because it certainly deserves six. Make sure not to miss the big bar at the Alcove!
