Big Bar Launch reviews
10Had a tone of fun. Didn’t see any “homeless”. Question: What are the gold prospecting rules for this area?
Super relaxing spot. Lost a star because there is only one bathroom which is just a hole in the ground and like you may imagine, it really stinks. But the inside of the bathroom did look like it was being maintained and cleaned. Bring hand sanitizer to wash your hands because like I said it is only hole in ground no running water or sink. But I love the place and go all the time.
Nice place to get to the river. Launch your raft. No picnic benches. Plenty of room to sit on the rocks by the river.
Beautiful little spot to check out the river. Be very careful, water can be very swift.
Please don't litter. Have fun.
You have to be careful here as the water level will rise and drop dramatically without notification.
Nothing really exciting here.
I guess some kayakers or rafters put in or out here.
I like photoing the cascading water here, and then I leave.
Maybe a good lunching spot? No tables that I know of though.
Beautiful place to visit. Saw a couple fishermen. Just a short drive off highway. Road to parking area is just off hwy and takes you directly back to highway.
Make sure you bring someone with you and don't leave valuables in you car. There are loads of tweakers that call this place home. While it is a gorgeous place, and there is a great deal to explore and even swim in the summer, it is easily ruined by guys with airguns, strangers checking the insides of cars, and people that try to pick fights with you.
Nice lil spot along highway 49. Has a pit toilet that was open on a weekday in February. Numerous trails down to rushing water. Had a boat launch area too. Steep approach down the road.
