Big Ben Market reviews
15I went in there last Wednesday I want to be a team player with pop store OMg there chesse was very bad he gave me Oaxaca cheese it was yellow when I called the manager told me it’s like that and to top it off the Mex man in the meat was coughing alll over the chesse omg bad I called the manager and gave me attitude there meat stuff is old please check expiration dates
Great place! I got what I needed for the right price and my drink was nicely chilled. I will be back again and again! Thanks, Scott.
High prices and old meat. The produce isn't so bad. Check your regular candy bars for worms because they sit forever. Mexican candy has a quick turnover though. The prepared food there is awful. I'm not sure how often they switch it out. Chips, soda, beer, anything Mexican.probably ok. Things like flour or corn meal. Check out the expiration date.
Avoid at all costs. Saw cocroaches and spoiled food. Avoid Avoid Avoid at all costs. Health inspector needs to surprise visit this dump and shut them down.
Horrible market, overpriced, grayish meat/poor quality overall. There’s these older gentleman that you can tell they’re management as they watch over the cashiers doing absolutely nothing to help as a line starts to form. I’m sure theres some corruption
Edit: I forgot to mention I bought tortillas that surprised me with mold when I got home. The place is a dump no regulations what’s so ever and needs an inspection to shut down the place for good. Avoid this market! Can’t rate it any lower unfortunately!
I got some flower tortillas and I didn't notice but when I got home they were moldy and green. Also a plus, they were way over priced.
Since their new renovations this place is way better. Price is a Lil more than regular markets. Perfectly seasoned carne asada highly recommended. Lots of alcoholic beverages.
I just called right now to order chicken wings it’s 7: 29pm a lady answered she said ok yes no problem I’m going to transfer you to kitchen then another lady answered said I had to order no later than 6pm because she start to clean up so I ask what time you guys close she said 7: 30pm lol it doesn’t make sense in that case they should close at 6pm not 7: 30
Not the same BIG BEN as back in the late 90s and early 2000s miss the authenticness new owners has been remodeled but just not the same
Has the bare essentials. Love that it's a small market but also wish they had more to offer.
Small neighbors market. They do have hot serve station to go as well. A little bit of everything for such a small place. If you need something in a pinch to make a respectable dinner or a BBQ they have it.
My dad used to bring me here as a kid, I love this place, Great food they upgraded the whole place, Great job BIG BEN
I'm not sure about Big Ben market but behind the store are water vending machines where it will give you a gallon of water for only 15 cents.
Meat section with great selection. I always go here. Employees always try to help you. As a family owned market, do not expect very low, low prices I love to do my groceries here and if you aske me if I recomend it? DEFINITELY.
They have great prices on meat also. It's a clean store where I feel safe to shop during coronavirus times. One thing I don't like is when they put stuff on sale u have to buy two to get the sale price, not like that at other stores.
