I highly recommend Big Blue Photo Boat! I spent several amazing days scuba diving with them at the Coronado Islands. Susan and Matthias are incredibly professional, knowledgeable, safe, helpful and fun to talk to. They work hard to make each day amazing. Their boat Lil Blue is extremely comfortable and fast and they provide delicious food. Both are experienced photographers/videographers and they are extremely careful handling your equipment. Every aspect of the trips were great. I cannot wait to book again with them in the future!

I had an amazing time on Big Blue Photo Expedition. I went on an all day excursion to see blue whales and mola molas. There were so many blue whales and it was absolutely incredible to see. The boat was extremely comfortable with an inside cabin for when you needed to go fast. I cannot wait to go again!

Fun time seeing blue whales for the first time. Susan has a great breadth of knowledge and experience captaining a boat. Mathias is a marine biologist so between the pair they are quite adept at finding the different whales. It adds a new dimension when you see significantly more of the whale from Matthias’ drone footage. I highly recommend this fun day experience as part of your San Diego experience.

I had an amazing day on the ware on the lil blue boat
We headed over to the Coranados for some sea lion pups then out looking for whales
Susan and Mathias knew where to look and we sighted Blue whales, Humpbacks and a minke!
We also ended up in a super pod of dolphins and even found a Mola Mola on the way back!
We had an amazing day on the water and I will definitely head back out with them!

Incredible Adventure
Very professional and safe
Hearing the whales breathe and feeling the mist was awesome.
Then we circumnavigated the Coronados and saw the SeaLion rookery.
The cherry on the “ Sunday “ were the hundreds of dolphins surround “ Scout “, playing in the boats bow wake and jumping all over. Nature displaying her power and variety.

Amazing day on the water. We saw several fin whales and 4 different types of dolphin. Perfect day trip for families and friends.

Susan was amazing! Put us right next to a massive pod of dolphins and seals. We were so close to several fin whales we could almost feel this mist from their blow holes. They also had a professional photographer on board to capture the experience. 10/10 would definitely recommend!
