Danny was great at onset of our interactions, followed up, made great claims on how the marketing would boost ticket sales. I did not see any ticket sales however from the radio ads and banners I purchased. He was late delivering the audio equipment to the event and was also very worrisome about the process of returning the equipment after the event. I will not be doing business with Big Noise Radio going forward.

Danny is a true professional and craftsman! He made sure to communicate with me throughout the process, and altered me to any issues that might affect the quote. He suggested some much needed upgrades, and shipped my MPC back to me wrapped like precious cargo! I’m very pleased, and I’ll be sending it back for more mods… after I put in some much needed work.

After working with some amazing recording and mix engineers like Duro, I got accustomed to my production being run through Harrison, Neve and SSL consoles. Once I started recording and mixing for myself by DAW, I struggled to get the sound that I was looking for. Most of my frustration came from inexperience, but I knew what I wanted to hear. My mixes lacked the sonic weight that is so prevalent in older recordings. After buying a pair of Rupert Neve Designs 542 Tape Emulators, I realized that the sonic weight I sought after came mainly from TRANSFORMERS and not just EQ.

I saw an IG post from Danny of Big Noise Radio about custom made transformer pass through units and my prayers were literally answered. The XFDT988N1: 2 Vintage Iron that I purchased adds the “THAT’S IT” to whatever I pass through it. Danny has also answered my questions regarding transformers as I have been inspired to experiment making some units for myself.

I HIGHLY recommend Big Noise Radio’s custom product line.

I can't recommend this company enough. Danny custom built a stereo transformer unit for me from two old European Telephone Company transformers from the 80s that he had sourced. There are so few pieces of gear that actually floor you when you plug them into your signal chain, this is one of them for me. Beyond his craftsmanship looking absolutely fantastic (check out the attached photo) and his prices being really fair, he was incredibly kind and patient with me as I changed my mind a few times after making my initial order. Can't speak highly enough about what Big Noise Radio offers to the recording community.

Incredibly high quality, handmade, studio grade coloring transformer boxes. Adds a phenomenal flavor to tracking or to in the box mixes that need some outboard spice. I got the XFDT988N1: 2 and it's just what I was looking for. A very slight tilt EQ tone shaping and just the right amount of saturation. There are lots of other types of transformers to choose from, British and American, can't wait to try some more! Highly recommended.

Also, I've never yet encountered packaging as attentive and protective as BigNoise provided. This level of protection for a shipped device is extraordinary. Triple wrapped and packed. It shows close attention to detail.
