Bikerowave reviews
7 Bicycle repair and bicycle learning at its finest. Parts and accessories for sale, both used and new. As a cooperative, rather than a commercial bike repair shop where they do it for you - you have a tutor who stays with you during the process and leads you to success.
I was excited to do it myself, jus not all in one session. The all-volunteer staff supports you to Do It Yourself, with bike stands, tools, guidance.
My volunteer had done bike mechanics as a pro somewhere in the South Bay.
One time I had to search through used parts to find what I needed. I must’ve saved $100 on that one piece of gear and crank combination.
They have a store in the back that sells the new parts that you might need or want.
You get well crafted music playlist. There is a small library with some helpful books and others.
It’s a great neighborhood -Venice and Centinela- with bike lanes and much shopping. There’s Mitsuwa a giant Japanese market, Mexican El Rancho market hidden behind O’Reilly’s, Asian food/ market Fatty Mart, and even a bowling alley nearby. Streetlife on weekend eves.
Great place to help you fix your bicycle at a very reasonable price. You DIY but with the assistance of the volunteers. Excellent service.
Super friendly service, hands-on involvement during repairs, affordable prices, and surf rock on the PA system. Definitely recommend! Great repair & maintenance place for bikes.
Great community place wherein folks can work on bikes and help each other. Come by and say hello
Best co op bike shop in Los Angeles. Cool knowledgeable people and amazing prices. We need more of these shops!
I had a really great experience at the shop. I came in on a Wednesday night with a flat tire and then volunteer showed me how to replace the tube. He was very kind and patient. I will tell all of my friends come in.
Hurray for people who understand what it takes to get people on bikes and keep them riding. It takes friendly people helping you learn how to be competent with your bike and sharing bike resources. I'm bike camping for the first time and I was encouraged to come back 3 times and helped enormously each time until all my equipment was right and works perfectly for my upcoming travel needs. Wow!
