Updated: thanks for the babble but you failed to explain why you didn’t communicate for over 3 months and also failed to contact your customer at all. Stay away from these snake oil salesmen everyone.

Steer clear - there are plenty of shops that will do a better job.

I ordered a head back in November 2021 - and was given a 5-6 week delivery time. Paid in full $2300. I contacted BH late December and was told it would be another 5-6 weeks due to the holidays. No problem.

Mid February came with no communications. I contacted BH again - left a VM with no response. I waited another week or so- contacted them and was told 3 weeks for a ship time. (Eta early march from late December)

I decided to contact them again a few days ago - and was told rockers were backordered since late last year! - and that I had to pay approx $200 if I wanted to get replacement FEBI rockers or $500 to get oem rockers. My build was supposed to come with Ireland HD rockers. After some gentile push back - Matt offered the oem rockers for $300. Ireland HD $380. Oem $580. Nice price gouging attempt BH!

No communication or effort was made since November. It wasn't made known to me that the rockers were back ordered until 5 months later. Matt actually mentioned his guy Shawn made a mistake calculating the number of rockers needed for all their builds. (FYI It's two per cylinder Shawn)

Overall, after treating a customer like dirt I can fairly say this shop isn't what it used to be. I was a customer 7-10 years ago but it seems the new management has severely dropped some balls.

Steer clear - do your research. There are far superior shops out there

I went with the shop Bimmerheads in Santa Clarita, CA for my transmission rebuild. After reading reviews online and speaking to other BMW owners in my community about them, they do hold a very good reputation for their work and thus decided to proceed with them for the rebuild. During diagnostics of opening up my trans, they were able to identify exactly which parts were needed to be replaced. They were able to answer any questions I had about the invoice and even helped resolve possible issues that could have caused the damage to the transmission which I very much appreciate. The rebuild process with them was very smooth. I was constantly updated with status of the rebuild as time went by. I personally requested extra work to be done: new shift lever, timing belt work, etc.and Bimmerheads were more than happy to take care of those as well with no additional delay. The result: My E30 shifted beautifully all the way home with no issues at all (3 hour drive). My shift knob has very little to no play and I'm excited for what's next for my E30. Very well done job.

Took my s50 swapped e30 here to get my cooling system upgraded and a/c sorted out. When I say Matt and his team are leading the class in professionalism and top notch work I mean it! They communicated in great detail and updated me every step of the way! He even took the time to make a list of recommendations based off of the time he spent with my car! If you are like me and have a passion for quality even in the smallest details take your bmw’s to the experts at Bimmerheads!

Highly recommend this shop for your 30 year old BMW. My E30 is going to get the best treatment by the pros at Bimmerheads! They have the best waiting room from any shop that I've been to, clean restroom and fridge with beverages. Overall my experience with Matt and his team was great.

I had bimmerheads build me a race/performance BMW engine to exact specifications. They built a perfect engine for my e30 and I will continue to recommend their work to my friends. They also rebuilt my transmission at the same time and that works flawlessly. The guidance throughout the planning and installation processes was top notch and they gave clear and accurate information when ever I asked.
