World class service by a World class surfer. I was buying my son a new board for his 21st Bday. We visited a couple of shops that day but came back to Bird Rock Surf shop. At first we didn’t realized that we were being helped by Derek Dunfee (a very humble Big Wave Surf Legend). Derek took time and explained the nuances with the different boards. We ending up buying a Christenson fish and two copies of his book “Waking up in the Sea”. Big Mahalos

The harassment is real here. The Surf Shop employees singled me out, yelled at me publicly and threatened to tow my car if I parked for more than an hour in the lot that they shared with the Surf cafe (where I was having lunch).

I love this surf shop! Finally a surf store that carries unique, local brands. The women's clothing selection is amazing, and I can always find something stylish for my boyfriend here too! Tons of boards to choose from for every kind of surfer. Now that they've added a green space out front, it's the perfect place to throw down a blanket, grab a smoothie from their cafe, and spend a few hours in the sun! 10/10 recommend.

Even if you are not a surfer. There is something for everyone at the BRSS to swim wear, apparel, accessories. I also enjoy looking around for jewelry here. I also love that this store supports a lot of small businesses. If you are a surfer they have the surf society membership for you to be able to try different surf boards until you find the one you love. Come show your support!
