Great doctors and friendly staff. Always there to help our fur babies. They will even work you in quickly. Once a month, they have half-price vaccine clinics for dogs and cats.

Just wonderful. They took excellent care of our pup. We weren't even sure she would make it, and they really helped her pull through. Thanks a million to all of them there at Bishop veterinary hospital.

We love this vet! They have taken care of all our animals from cats and dogs to pigs and horses. They saved lives, they've cried with us when we've had to say goodbye. This is the best place for your animals! Our cat Dave (who they've saved!) says he gives all four paws up because he doesn't have thumbs lol

I’m not typically one to write reviews but I’ve had a couple less than great experiences here and figured it could hopefully bring some awareness. To start, it feels like they don’t necessarily care for the well being of their patients as much as they do the money. It’s understandable for a business to do so but in a business based entirely around people’s love for their companions, you’d hope to see more genuine kindness. Earlier this week I had scheduled an appointment with Sierra Veterinary Clinic for my older cat and our dog to get their nails trimmed, my husband mistakenly took them to the wrong vet and was charged nearly triple what we would have normally paid. This wouldn’t have been much of an issue except they over-trimmed our cats back claws so badly that he has been continually bleeding for the last half hour. Like I said, I don’t do this often as I feel complaining is hardly productive, I will however try not to bring my pets back here.

Dr. Figueroa and Dr Milici, are exceptional vet! They provided outstanding care for Bella, and thorough explanations of her condition were immensely helpful. The attention to detail and willingness to discuss every aspect of her health showed genuine care and expertise. Dr. Figueroa and Dr Milici went above and beyond, even advising a neurologist for further evaluation. I highly recommend Dr. Figueroa and Dr Milici for their professionalism, compassion, and dedication to the well-being of our furry friends

Had a pretty scary pet emergency on the weekend. The vet met us at the clinic on Sunday, took great care of our girl! So thankful for the time he took to explain her aftercare. Thank you so much Dr. Figueroa, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My family and I lived in the Eastern Sierra with our fur babies for about 5 years, and it seems like we were always having something or another healthwise going on with our pets.
We ended up spending quite a bit of time in this vet office.but it was never an unpleasant time considering the circumstances, and they literally saved the lives of our animals more than once with their skill & dedication.

The doctors were knowledgeable, fast, and compassionate. They were certainly overworked & overwhelmed most of the time, but still they didn't cut corners. The other staff were always friendly and efficient, with light humor that kept the office from getting too depressing.
We hardly ever had to wait very long for appointments, and they accepted walk-ins which was super helpful during emergencies. They were truly trying to help everybody as quickly as they could, even while running out to care for cattle & horses out on farms and providing services like kennels & grooming.

The office was really great about communicating with my husband and I about our pets. They'd call us with updates, quickly answer messages that we left, and always took the time to answer all of our questions.
The waiting room was consistently packed, but they saw patients as fast they could and managed to keep the place pretty clean.

Sometimes the bill we needed to pay was a bit of a shocker, but in hindsight I can say that it was well worth it because of the quality of care that they provided and the remoteness of Bishop. We weren't making much money at the time, so maybe it was more heavy hitting to our wallet because of that and the sort of medical conditions that our pets were dealing with.
But at one point when we couldn't afford to pay all at once they allowed us to make payments without needing to apply for the pet credit card or anything. I guess they knew by then that we were good for it and would likely need their help again soon, lol.

I truly appreciate Bishop Veterinary Hospital and wish that we still lived there so our pets could keep getting the top notch care that they provide.
Thank you so much! I wish that I could find a people doctor for myself who was half as good as these folks.
I'd absolutely recommend this vet office to everyone who loves their pets. Try your best to be as patient as possible with them as possible because they do provide care to a very large area, and please show them the appreciation that they deserve for a job well done.

Always accommodating to get your pet in to see a vet. I'm sorry to see the "old country doc" atmosphere gone, but it is a new era with new owners. Have seen several vets for various reasons. Although I miss the friendships built with the retired and passing vets, the new ones are very friendly and kind and make time to talk to you. Love love love the front desk staff.you guys alone are 5 stars.

I have been going to see Bishop Vet for the past 10+ years. Multiple animals and I will never go anywhere else! I make the 3hr drive from Tehachapi because of how amazing they are, very reasonably priced for everything, and there genuinely nice people. Worth the drive 100%

Bishop Veterinary Hospital is a very fair priced veterinarian hospital that we are lucky to have in Ridgecrest even if it is only a couple times a month. Hope you continue to serve us.

BVH is an excellent small town animal clinic that services very small pets on up to stock animals. They have several satellite offices in neighboring towns for client's convenience. The staff and doctors are personable, professional, kind, and hard working. I highly recommend their services.

When I called to make a appointment for my pet to be nurtured along with other treatments they told me that drop off was between 7: 30am and 8: 00am and pick up was at noon, so I dropped my pet at 8: 00am and when I went to pick him up at noon they said no pick up is at 2 pm, but they knew I drove here from another town over 120 miles away to do this appointment (I had told them at the time of scheduling and drop off) I would have dropped him off and then went back home and then picked him up before they closed because I had other appointments to go too that day and if I would have picked my pet up at noon like they originally said then I would have made it to my other appointments, I mean it’s not like there services are free or even cheap, it’s like $350 plus my drive to take him to them, I should have just went to a different town to do it, but this vet had good references

I've brought my all nine of my four-legged kids here over the past 26 years, from cancer to ACL surgeries to vaccinations. Recently, one my dogs broke her jaw while we were more than an hour away from Bishop Vet on flood-damaged roads. Dr. Ludwig waited for us and performed an emergency surgery on a Friday night—wiring her jaw back together. He did a beautiful job, maintaining her American bulldog underbite "smile. " Another time, we were out of town, and our thirteen year-old Chiweenie with congestive heart disease began coughing specs of blood. At two in the morning, Dr. Runley, the vet on call, found an emergency pet clinic for us in Reno where we took the little gal. They are super busy, but the dedication and care for the animals is some of the best you can get in the state.
