Bites and Bashes Catering

I recently organized a private event in Los Angeles, and being unfamiliar with the area and its vendors, I turned to Google for help. I stumbled upon Bites & Bashes and it turned out to be an absolute gem! From start to finish, their team exceeded all expectations and delivered an outstanding experience.

From the moment I initiated contact with Gail, I was blown away by her professionalism and expertise. Despite being miles away, she made communication a breeze, always responsive and attentive to my needs. Gail effortlessly guided me through the planning process, taking the time to understand our vision for the event. Her attention to detail and willingness to answer my countless questions were truly remarkable.

Not only was Gail incredible, but her on-site team, led by Gabi, was equally outstanding. The actual event surpassed all our expectations. The antipasto display was actually a work of art. The food itself was AMAZING! The quality of the dishes was unmatched, and the noodle boxes were an absolute hit.

I can confidently say that this was the best event catering I have ever encountered, both as a planner and an event guest. Highly recommended doesn't even begin to cover it.

Was at an Event last night that used this company and I can’t honestly say the food has to be one of the best I’ve ever eaten! Never have I left a review for any restaurant or catering company. SO FREAKING GOOD

One of my biggest wedding regrets is NOT trying the appetizer food that we had catered from Bites and Bashes. Our wedding was almost 2 months ago and I’m STILL hearing how much everyone loved the glass noodles!

My (now) husband had found bites and bashes and we were instantly intrigued by not only their impressive portfolio of clients and amazing reviews, but also that they are POC and Women owned.

They were great at communicating and everything was so easy when it came to working with them. We had them drop off the food at our venue to be served at cocktail hour.

While I have to admit that I didn’t get a chance to try the food myself, the fact that we are getting unsolicited compliments from SO MANY of our guests for not only the glass noodles but also the chicken satay and other items we had is a sign to me that it must have been amazing.

Food presentation and quality was top notch. Would highly recommend them for high quality catering requirements. Communication processes could be fine tuned though. Example being: We didn't receive any pre-event day reconfirmation communication that everything was on track and they would be delivering on X date at X time in the lead up to our event date so we had to reach out by phone and email but couldn't reach anyone nor did they contact us when enroute or arriving on the day of as they mentioned they would in initial conversations. So it felt a little uncomfortable not knowing if the food was still arriving for our party or not. The food did arrive as planned but we would have appreciated that final touch point to alleviate any concern. The weird thing is they did eventually respond to our email but AFTER our event was already over days later to tell us that yes, our food was still to be delivered.

Their food is good but not excellent. Their CATERING SIDE OF THEEEE OPERATION is a different story however: Someone was interviewed and hired on the spot by Kim, the H. R. Manager but but but Crystal Coser said, well basically UN-hired someone because this person had A broken tooth veneer and 1 Dental tooth extraction on order to prepare for an implant.
The tooth that had to be extracted was in the upper right quadrant, and yes it was visible, agreed. The other broken veneer was not to visible due to its location. Both teeth which was in the process of been repaired, been prepped for a replacement.
So beeeecause of the simple fact that someone had a broken tooth veneer and a necessary extraction: as in a gap in the upper front area this was theee cause for Crystal to over-write Kim and UN-hire someone beeecause of a dental gap and broken Veneer. This person did have a gap on the front area, yes, agreed.
This was during COVID-19's strick Facemasks policy established by the Los Angeles county Department of Public Health in which Facemask were mandatory by restaurants and Catering company employees.so if '' FACEMASKS '' were going to be involved before, during and after catering events (as well as restaurants). Why would Crystal Coser basically terminate someone because of A broken Dental Veneer? I guess she is CONCERNED about thee image of HER COMPANY: about A broken Dental Veneer and an extracted tooth that will make HER COMPANY look bad eventhough COVID19 FACEMASKS would would cover the smiley face area she is concerned about. Crystal Coser how do YOU feel about YOUR IMAGINE NOW?

THERE is more, Since Crystal Coser UN-hired someone, this dedicated person would call, text and send Emails in order to book shifts with Bites and Bashes Crystal Coser's Catering Company. This went in for 2 Months. Guess what? There were no no NO returned calls, emails or texts. No type of communication from Bites and Bashes Catering.
No Texts, calls, emails, radio traffic, Shortwave radio, satellite phone, CB, Telex, Fax, 2 way radio, Chirp Commo, smoke signals, Mirror signals, or messenger pichons. Nothing nothing telling this person something like '' Sorry, I Crystal Coser changed my mind So i told Kim my H. R.manager not to book you for any events ''. As a common courtesy at least tell someone they were UN-hired instead of this dedicated person stopped looking for work THINKING '' I GOT A JOB, I will just wait until THEY text me for events I can work ''

Does Crystal Coser write BIAS-ED reviews due to the way a prep cook or line cook or a waitress / waiter / server looks like a bad car accident, or someone got burned during a house fire or A survivor of the Killing Fields Of Cambodia or A failed assassination attempt by North Korean Agents.

Discrimination is not only UN-ethical but is also ILLEGAL Crystal Coser.

Always a tastebud hit! From the restaurant to their catered meals, whether you order for pickup or have them cater an event w/ full staff like your annual company party or a wedding, Bites and Bashes brings the VIBE. Must try the crack fries and the crack in a cup. Sure to make you say YUM

We used Bites & Bashes for our mother's memorial service at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and it was absolutely the best choice! Gabi and the team were very helpful trying to estimate the proper amount of food for an event where we had no idea how many people would attend. We had the trays dropped off at the location and they arrived right on time. The food was BEAUTIFULLY arranged on the trays, and it was DELICIOUS! The guests were raving over the food and I was asked repeatedly who we used. I wished I had a stack of business cards to hand out! We ordered the turkey slider, chicken sliders, fruit plates, vegetable plates, hummus plates, and cheese plates. The sliders were a total hit! I HIGHLY recommend Bites & Bashes to upscale your event with minimal effort! THANK YOU!

Bites & Bashes worked with me to provide a quick turnaround and blew us out of the water in terms of quality of the food and service. Luckily they had the availability to cater a last minute internal corporate reception for 75 people where they provided the most delicious passed hors d'oeuvres. Their menu can truly be catered to any dietary restriction and everything tasted amazing.

In addition, we got the antipasto (picture below) which was a huge hit and incredibly stunning. The flowers came from the chef's garden which added to the magic.

The service alone was impeccable. All catering staff was friendly and so good at their job. I received such great feedback from everyone who got to experience Bites & Bashes. If you are looking for amazing food and incredible service, Bites & Bashes is exactly who you want to hire for any event! I truly cannot recommend Bites & Bashes enough for your corporate or personal life celebrations!

I’ve been wanting to try this cute place for the longest. Finally did and I don’t know why I took so long. Hands down pancakes were the best for me and the hubby fluffy and flavorable. Overall everything was tasty and service was great. Would highly recommend to anyone to try it’s a must!

Great brunch spot with Korean cuisine and cookies galore, tasty Philly stole the show, Im going to have to come back to try the coffee and breakfast items.

This place has the most Amazing& Beautifully displayed dishes! This is always my go-to for work meetings. There are many varieties of food options for everyone's likening! The Lemondae is a must as an addition to the delicious food.

Phenomenal service and absolutely delicious food. They did an outstanding job for our wedding highly recommended for any event of any size!

If I could give more stars than 5 I would! Bites and Bashes was so great to work with. They were very quick to respond and were super helpful. The food was SO delicious. We had them cater our baby shower and all the guests raved about the food. We ordered the Mediterranean Buffet #1 and every dish was delicious. I was so happy we had leftovers because I enjoyed eating it again days after. The pickup was really easy and I appreciated the follow up communication before event. I would highly recommend using them to cater your event!

Local gem for breakfast. I'm so surprised this place doesn't have a line out the door like most other brunch places. We were able to try the shashuka, Kim chi fried rice, and the Korean breakfast plate, and all 3 of them are excellent. Will definitely go back.

My fiancée and I recently put on an engagement party for 20+ people and Bites & Bashes came well-reviewed for catering. We were impressed with the menu and reached out to them. Their menu is diverse and allows for lots of customization with plenty of optional add-ons.
All of the staff I communicated with were extremely friendly, informative, and always returned my emails within the same day or immediately the next day if something was sent after business hours.
They were accommodating of our dietary restrictions and communicated with the chef to let him know about them.
The food ended up being excellent- my fiancée, myself and our guests all loved it. We got the Mediterranean Buffet #2 and loved the chicken and couscous especially!
Everything worked out great and I will absolutely be using them for events in the future.
