Started at Devil’s Corral down to the historic Susanville train depot museum. The ride down was easy and the way back up was definitely between 700-1,000 elevation gain. Beautiful. Lots of people at different places but not crowded.

The Biz Johnson Trail is a great trail to hike or mountain bike. It follows an old railway through a canyon with a creek which flows alongside the trail through the canyon. It is in total about 25 miles long one way, but I did just the first 7 miles from Susanville headed West to the next mail trailhead. A great trail that is mostly level with bridges, two tunnels, and great scenery.
