Black Bear Diner Los Banos reviews
17Their ranch dressing was BOMB. We got there at 7 am (yes, I was craving a salad that early) and everyone was in such a good mood, and we were taken care of the whole visit!
I probably should have ordered the breakfast as it looked amazing. The fish and chips were disappointing. Overcooked and dripping with grease. Plain slaw and fries.
The waitstaff was very attentive and had a great atmosphere. I would give it a second chance.
This place has truly gone downhill my mother ordered a turkey dinner and got a plate with some heated up deli slices instead of an actual cut of turkey, service was slow even though there were not many seated tables.
Just don't order the Chicken and waffles. Or use the nasty ladies bathroom. Otherwise, great place.
Good rest stop, good food, and good service. What made it a 5 were the clean restrooms and good soap. Hard to find on the road.
This place was like a well oiled machine. We took notice right away of the manager taking charge of his floor while his employees happily followed his directions. The food was good. We were there for under 30 minutes as we watched his tables have orders taken, served and vacated expeditiously while not making the customers feel rushed. Great job and Kurosawa to all the employees.
My family and myself love Black Bear especially the onion rings, corn bread, fresh squeezed orange juice, and their tri tip dip sanwhich amazing!
Great food and great service Very nice people When they're nice I leave a big tip and that's what I did
Such a great place but huuuuuge portions. We shared a dish and were full. I would recommend but if you’re not American - share a portion:)
Had.the meatloaf dinner. It was good altho I would have preferred the baked potatoe was a little softer
Their computer system was down, so we had to wait to order but the staff handled it with a friendly and upbeat attitude. Our server was exceptionally good and made our meal enjoyable. We felt well taken care of.
I'm never disappointed with the Black Bear franchise!
Black Bear Diners always seem to have the happiest employees!
Great service, good food at reasonable prices.
Couldn't get served or acknowledged after being seated, and we were the only new table. Ended up walking out.
The place is very good. I only recommend that the menu include images of the dish, since sometimes love for the dish comes out when you see the image.
Lexie was an awesome waitress. She was just what we needed on our return trip home from Stanford. The food was excellent.
The service is great, the atmosphere is very welcoming and the unique newspaper style menus are always the center of attention for people who are eating at the establishment for the first time. With that being said, the food there is subpar, and unfortunately a hit and a mess every single time you go. A couple of days ago I asked for scrambled eggs, and they came out burned, while the time before they were perfect. Other people in my family will order their steaks, and really do they come out as expected. I personally would not recommend Black Bear diner in Los Banos.
Got takeout breakfast during a road trip. No napkins, utensils, or condiments were included in the order - which made it difficult to eat. The pizza, fries, and hashbrowns were all so soggy; hardly edible. The stuffed French toast was more like a pastry with preservatives, but was edible. The cold brews were great! Overall disappointed and will skip it next time we pass through.
